• Day 1 : Kolkata

  The Golden Triangle Tour East consists of the temple places of Bhuvneshwar, Puri and Konark.
  You’ll be received in the airport, and transported to the hotel. Spend the morning visiting the marvelous Victoria Memorial Hall, followed by Fort William, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the High Court and Raj Bhawan; all the shrines speaking of the British legacy in the city. The famous Indian Museum houses a rich collection of invaluable relics and remains of ancient civilizations. A city with a unique character, Calcutta or Kolkata as it is called today, is an interesting place to roam about. Visit the streets, old and new, the lanes and the by lanes for a feel of the rich cultural, gourmet and historical background. In the afternoon, avail the transport to reach the airport on time and board the flight to Bhuvneshwar. You’ll be received in the airport and transport will be provided to the hotel

  There are several glorious temples to visit. Spend the morning to visiting places like the holy Lingaraja temple and Mukteswara Temple. The Raja Rani Temple built in the 11th century and set against the pictorial background is hugely appreciated for its sculptural brilliance. Also do not miss the Parasurameswara Temple constructed as early as 650 A.D. Dedicated to the Tantric cults is the Vaital Temple, another popular tourist spot. Take a tour of the Chilka lake, the biggest inland lake.

  Complete your Golden Triangle Tour East with your visit to the several temples of religious, historical and architectural significance. In the morning, travel to Puri and Konark. Situated 60 Km from Bhuvneshwar, Puri is well known for its panoramic sea beach and the famous Lord Jagannath Temple. Find the largest food market at Ananda Bazar and taste some of the exotic food in the world. Gundecha Mandir will leave you in awe with its architectural brilliance. Take a drive on the grand road also called the “Bada Dandda” only to stop at the ethnic shops to collect mementos and souvenirs. From Puri, drive down to the Sun Temple of Konark. The glorious temple of black stone devoted to the great charioteer, the Sun or the ‘Arka’. It speaks of the golden times of the architectural excellence in Orissa.
