This escorted small group tour travels from Johannesburg to Durban via the Panorama Route and Kruger National Park, including a safari in a private game reserve for open-top game viewing. Continue through Swaziland & Zululand to Hluhluwe and the iSimangaliso St Lucia Wetlands. Departs weekly each Monday. Group size 2-14.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive

  You will be met at Johannesburg Airport and transferred to your hotel in this thriving city.
  
  Check in and relax under warm blue South African skies in 'Egoli' - the city of gold.
• Day 2 : Johannesburg

  Today we leave Johannesburg and travel 5-hours through the historic towns of Dullstroom, Lydenburg and the Abel Erasmus Pass. After passing through the J.G.Strijdom Tunnel, we arrive at our Mpumalanga Game Reserve near the Kruger National Park.
  
  After checking into our lodge, enjoy a thrilling game drive in an open-top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a lodge ranger. Game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately and hopefully you will see several species of antelope, zebra, wildebeest and maybe even giraffe - as well as several of the Big Five today. Then dine at our lodge in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide.
• Day 3 : Mpumalanga Game Reserve

  Enjoy an early morning game drive at your Mpumalanga Game Reserve, before we set out to explore the breathtaking Panorama Route - including Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God's Window, Three Rondawels and the green Blyde River Canyon.
  
  In the afternoon we check into our hotel in the small town of Sabie, surrounded by beautiful indigenous forests, pine and blue gum trees. Relax and enjoy an included dinner tonight.
• Day 4 : Kruger National Park

  After breakfast we leave Sabie and enter the Kruger National Park, unrivalled in its diversity of flora and fauna, for a morning of game viewing in our closed vehicle. Travelling via Skukuza, we exit through the Malelane Gate and continue to Mthethomusha Game Reserve.
  
  After checking into our lodge enjoy an open-top game drive in this private game reserve, followed by an included dinner.
• Day 5 : Swaziland

  This morning we travel 5-hours through the small mountainous kingdom of Swaziland, driving through the Lebombo Mountains and Mbabane, before re-entering South Africa via Zululand.
  
  We check into our hotel in St. Lucia in the late afternoon.
• Day 6 : Isimangaliso Wetlands Park

  Before breakfast enjoy an early morning game drive in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park - a World Heritage Site. Also enjoy a boat ride on the estuary, where you may see hippos and crododiles as well as pelicans, fish eagles and abundant bird life.
  
  Afterwards we travel through the sugar cane plantations of the Indian Ocean seaboard, with late afternoon drop off at your hotel on the warm Durban North Coast, renowned for its wonderful beaches and excellent holiday weather.
• Day 7 : Departure

  Transfer to Durban Airport for your flight home.
