Climate:- In winter, the temperature can drop to below freezing point when heavy woollens are required. Summer temperature are mild and light woollens/cottons are recommended.
Major Attraction in Kullu:-
Vashishtha Baths:- The hot water spring of Vashishtha is famous for its medicinal effect. A large number of people come here and take dips in to holy water as the water of the spring is believed to cure several diseases. There is also a pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashishta Muni.
Hadimba Devi Temple:- The temple is dedicated to the goddess-turned-demoness Hadimba (or Hirimba), the wife of Bhima. It is said that Bhima fell in love with Hadimba, Built in the 1553, the temple has pagoda-like roof that adds into the beauty of the place.
Tibetan Monastery:- The Tibetan monastery is famous for its carpet-weaving unit where the residents, the immigrants from Tibet, produce handicrafts of various kinds that attract the tourists a lot.
Arjun Gufa:- It is Located at a distance of 15 km from the Manali town, near the Prini Village, According to a legend, Arjuna, one of the Pandavas, used to practice meditation here to get the powerful Pashupata Ashtra (a powerful weapon).
Agatsukh:- It is located at a distance of 6 km from Manali, Jagatsukh is the largest village of Kullu district. It is situated on the bank of the river Beas, The village has a famous temple of Lord Shiva. The temple is built in Shikhara style. Jagatsukh also functioned as the ancient capital of Kullu for about ten generations.
Nehru Kund:- It is located on the Manali-Keylong road at a distance of 6 km from Manali town The Kund is named after the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The place is especially famous for the clean water spring, from the Brhigu Lake.
Kothi:- Kothi is at a distance of 12 km from Manali, on the Lahaul-Spiti-Leh highway. It served as the camping place for tourists when the 3,978-metre-high Rohtang Pass had to be trekked. It also has a comfortable staying option in the beautiful PWD Rest House, which lies in the middle of snow-capped peaks and glaciers.
Solang Valley : At a distance of 13 km from Manali town, Solang Valley is known for its beautiful landscape, snow-capped mountain peaks and the view of the glaciers. It also has skiing training facility, Department of Mountaineering and Allied Sports hostel, and Antrek Campsite Resort.
Rehalla Falls :- At a distance of 16 km from Manali town, the Rehalla Falls is a result of spilling water from steep rocks and melting glaciers. at an altitude of 9,000 ft. it provides you an excellent view of the nature around. The entire area is surrounded by Deaodar and birch forests.
Major Attraction in Manali:-
Hadimba Temple (1 km): - Built in 1553 and with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway.
Manu Temple (2 Km): - This is dedicated to the sage Manu.
Vashisth (3 Km):- Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama.
Monasteries:- There are three recently built Tibetan monasteries at Manali.
Jagatsukh (6 Km):- The one time capital of Kullu. Here are old temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and to Sandhya Gayatri. The Arjun caves are just ahead.
Solang Valley(14 Km):- In a picturesque setting this has good ski sloped and picnic spots. HPTDC organises ski packages during winter.
Towards The Rohtang Pass:- On the road to keylong is the Nehru Kund (6km) which is a clear water spring scenic spot named after the Lat Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Kothi (12km) is a picturesque village and has a thrilling view of the deep gorge through which the beas swiftly races. The beautiful Rahalla falls (16km) are at at altitude of 2500m. A crucial link on the old trade-route and still the gateway to trans Himalayan Lahaul, the Rohtang Pass is at height of 3980 m.
Day 1 : Una - Manali (240KM)
Starting from Una to Manali by taxi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Manali Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast get ready for city tour to visit some of the magnificent attractions including Hadimba Devi Temple, Tibetan Monastery, Manu Temple and Vashisht Village. Afternoon enjoy at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Manali.
Day 3 : Manali Excursion
Enjoy the early morning breakfast at the hotel. Later visit to Kothi Gorge, Marhi, Rothang pass and Marhi. Rothang Pass is an important tourist spot with alluring view of the snow capped Himalayas, picturesque lakes and scintillating tranquil surrounding. After visiting to Solang Valley, return back to the hotel on time and enjoy delicious dinner and overnight stay. (in Winter Car will be going only up to the Snow point).
Day 4 : Manali - Manikaran via Kullu - Manali
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Manikaran 75 kms /4 hours, enroute visiting Kullu. Manikaran is located in Parvati valley amidst the river Vyaas and Parvati in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Manikaran is holy centre of both Hindu and Sikh religion. It is believed that Manu created human life again in Manikaran after the devastating flood, making the place centre of pilgrimage. After visit to Manikaran transfer to Kullu valley (45 kms/2 hours) for a half day sightseeing tour and panoramic view of the natural beauty and snow capped himalayas. Return to Manali by evening for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Manali - Una
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Una.
