Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pamaramaribo - Kwamalasamutu (flight)

  1100 hours departure by plane from Paramaribo to Kwamalasamutu.
  After arrival around 1300 h. we leave by boat to the Iwana Samu Rainforest lodge, a guest accommodation built in Trio style of wood and bamboo, along the high river bank with a beautiful view of the river. After we have moved in, we make a small exploration guided by a local guide. After this you can take a cool dip in the river, swim, canoe or just relax in the hammock.

• Day 2 : Kamalasamutu

  In the morning we bring a courtesy visit to the great chief of the Trio Indians. After this we will make a village walk where we will also visit the different traditional tribes with their living habits and their daily household. In the afternoon we make an educational tour through the tropical rainforest with an explanation of the many medicinal plants that our forest is rich. After this you can bathe a bit in the rapids or rainforest scuba dives with diving glasses and Trio style bamboo surfing.
  In the evening we go out for the spotting and luring of animals by local guides.

• Day 3 : Visit Wherephai

  The highlight of this day is the visit to the Werephai caves in a breathtaking nature with the 5000 year old petroglyph petroglyphs.
  In the afternoon we have bow and arrow shooting and traditional wrestling with the guides.
  In the evening we have a cultural show with local singing and dancing and playing musical instruments with the guides.

• Day 4 : Kwamalasamutu - Paramaribo (Flight)

  After breakfast we prepare for departure to Paramaribo. On our way to the airport we make a stop at the Sjamaan and his clinic. There is also some time for buying souvenirs in the women's center.
  Around noon we arrive in Paramaribo.
