  • Day 1 :

    Begin your .Arrive into Leh Welcome to Vardhman’s “Ladakh Exotica Tour”!
    On arrival in Leh, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman’s representative to your hotel. Fullday rest to acclimatize yourself. Evening go for a brisk walk to stretch your body.

  • Day 2 :

    After breakfast proceed to visit Lamayuru 125 kms. It is situated at a distance of approximately 127 km to the west of Leh. The legend associated with this monastery goes that at the time of Sakyamuni (the Historical Buddha), nags (holy serpents) used to live in a Lake at the present day Lamayuru’s valley. It was the prediction of the Bodhisattva Madhyantaka that the lake would get drained out, making the place for the construction of a monastery. It is further believed that in 11th century, Mahasiddhacharya Naropa, Indian Buddhist scholar, meditated for many years in a cave in Dukhang, still seen today. Enroute visit Basgo Castle. Later checkin at your hotel. Afternoon excursion to visit Lamayuru monastery and the lunar like landscapes

  • Day 3 :

    After breakfast drive back to Leh enroute visit Rizong Nunnery, Indus & Zanskar river Sangam and Hall of Fame, Alchi Gompa.
    Alchi Gompa : 70 Kms from Leh, on the banks of the Indus, is the Alchi Gompa dating a thousand years back. One of its walls features thousands of miniature sized pictures of the Buddha. Three large sized images made of clay and painted brightly are its focal attractions. No longer an active religious center, it is looked after by monks from the Liker monastery. This is the only monastery amongst 34 monasteries, which is not located on a hilltop.
    Rizong Monastery: Situated at a distance of approximately 73 km from the town of Leh. Built by the great Lama Tsultim Nima, it dates back to the year 1831. Approximately 40 monks reside in the Rizong Gompa of Ladakh, which belongs to the Tsongkhapa Order. The successive reincarnations of Lama Tsultim Nima and his son, Sras Rinpoche, serve as the incumbents of the monastery. The inmates of the Rizdong Monastery of Leh Ladakh are permitted to have only religious robes and books with them.Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening visit Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa.
    Shanti Stupa (Japanese Peace Pagoda) : Shanti Stupa/Japanese peace pagoda is build by a Japanese religious organization headed by Head monk Nakamura with the help from the organization and local people. It is situated at a hill top in Cahngspa village providing a bird eye view of the Leh town and the surrounding mountain peaks. Architecturally it has the Japanese touch with small clean rooms on the side for meditators and the main Japanese shrine at the entrance.

  • Day 4 :

    After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via the world famous Khardongla Pass 18360 ft.
    Khardungla Pass : The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages.
    Visit the world highest motorable pass. Drive back to to Leh. Later visit the tiny local shops in Moti market and nowshare bazaars.

  • Day 5 :

    Early morning proceed for fullday excursion to Pangong Lake which is one of the most amazing Lakes in Ladakh. Visit the great blue Lake and back to Leh.
    Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake: A lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,250 m and is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Two thirds of the length of this lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km (3 mi) wide at its broadest point.This lake is the highest in Ladakh and is famous for colorful stones and wild flowers (in summer months).After visiting the lake return to Leh late in the evening for overnight rest.

  • Day 6 :

    On the last day of your tour transfer to Leh airport to board the flight for your onward journey to back home with sweet and pleasant memories of your “Ladakh Exotica Tour” escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
