Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi- Leh

Post breakfast, check-out from hotel and proceed to the airport to board your flight to Leh. On arrival at Leh airport, our representative will receive and escort you to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel Lahrisa Resort, Ladakh, for two nights, wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served. You can visit the local market at Leh in the evening.

Leh was the capital of Ladakh. Leh Palace, the former residence of the royal family is often visited by tourists for its majestic layout and rich architecture.

Day 2 : Leh

Breakfast at the hotel, leave for complete day of visit to the monasteries (104Kms from Leh). visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. Evening return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Shey was the former summer capital of Ladakh. The palace housed ancient Ladakh dynasties. The palace complex has a monastery, where you will come across a huge golden statue of Lord Buddha, the height of which is equivalent to three floors of the monastery. The paintings, sculptures and architecture reflect royal Buddhist culture.

Thiksey Monastery is the largest monastery in central Ladakh. This twelve-storey Tibetan monastery has an assembly hall, stupas, ten temples apart from being a residence of monks and nuns. The monastery has a statue of 'future Buddha' which is almost 40 feet high.
Hemis monastery, 50kms from Leh is the richest monastery here. Located on the banks of Indus river, the Gompa is known for tantric preachings. Visitors can see the famous mask dance during annual festival of the monastery.

Stok Palace Museum, is housed inside the Stok Palace. The museum exhibits royal artifacts, royal crowns, precious heirlooms, copper coins, precious stones and jewellery. The museum gives you an overview of Buddhist culture and lifestyle.
Day 3 : To Nubra

Leh - Nubra(120 km, 3-4 hrs Drive)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (highest motorable road in the world). On arrival, check-in at Hotel Organic Retreat (Tented Accommodation) for one night.

You can be on your own for the rest of the day. You can explore the picturesque Deskit and Hunder villages. You can also opt for a camel safari in sand dunes between the said villages. Overnight at the Hotel.

Nubra Valley to Leh (120 Kms). After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery (the largest monastery in Nubra) and drive back to Leh on the same route, crossing Khardung la Pass. Overnight at a tent.

Nubra Valley is about 150 km north of Leh, the capital town of Ladakh, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 ft. above the sea level. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La from Leh. Non-locals require an Inner Line Permit (obtainable in Leh town) to enter Nubra.

Day 4 : To Leh

Nubra - Leh (120 km, 3-4 hrs Drive)
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. On arrival check-in at Hotel Lahrisa Resort Ladakh for 03 nights.
Day 5 : Leh

Excursion Pangong Trip (160 Kms 4 – 5 hrs drive each way)
After breakfast leave for a trip to Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (third Highest Motorable road in the world.) Return back to Leh for overnight stay.

Pangong Tso (or Banggong Co Lake) is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. The lake is in the process of being identified under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance. This will be the first trans-boundary wetland in South Asia under the convention.

Day 6 : Leh Airport- Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out from hotel and transfer to Leh Airport to your onward flight to Delhi.
