A day trip to Lake Manyara offers visitors the chance to explore the diverse ecosystem of the national park, from the alkaline lake supporting nearly 400 recorded bird varieties, —among them the stunning pink flamingo— to the lush forests filled g with wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, baboons and the famous tree-climbing lions.

Day Itinerary

6 Hours : Lake Manyara National Park

Visitors will leave Arusha at 8am. This day trip to Lake Manyara National Park is an exciting opportunity to explore the diverse wildlife and eco-systems of this small but rich park located on the edge of the Rift Valley. On arrival, visitors will begin their game drive through the park where they may see the famous hippo pool or the annual migration of flamingos; and with nearly 400 bird species recorded in the park, it is a paradise for birdwatchers. After lunch around 1pm the game drive through the park continues and visitors may also see various iconic African animals such as elephants, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, giraffe and the famous tree-climbing lions, a unique feature of Manyara.

The tour ends at the Lake at 4pm.
