It is Situated On the Southern Escarpment of the Himalayas. the Entire Area of the District is Traversed By the Varying Altitude of the Shivaliks, Dhauladhar and the Himalayas from North-west to South-east. the Altitude Varies from 500 Metres Above Mean Sea Level (amsl) to Around 5500 Meters. It is Encapsulated in the North By the Districts of Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti, in the South By Hamirpur and Una, in the East By Mandi and in the West By Gurdaspur District of Punjab. It Was the Largest District of the Composite Punjab in Terms of Area Till It Was Transferred from Punjab to Himachal Pradesh On the 1st November, 1966 and Had Six Tehsils Namely Nurpur, Kangra, Palampur, Dehra Gopipur, Hamirpur and Una. Kullu Was also a Tehsil of Kangra District Up to 1962 and Lahaul&spiti Which also Formed a Part of Kangra Was Carved Out as a Separate District in 1960.

the Camp is Situated At the Top End of the Salli Village On the Road Leading to Kareri Village. the Road Will Soon Be Connecting to Ghera and Naddi Villages of Dharamshala in the Near Future. the View from the Camp is Panoramic. It Offers Sweeping View of the Khauli Valley and the River with Snow Clad Mountains to the North, Spell Binding Sights of Sunset Towards the Khanol Village to the West and Spectacular Sight of the Huge Reservoirs of Pong &ranjitsagar to the South.


the Camp Has 12 Accommodation Tents with all Amenities for An Adventure Enthusiast. One Can Walk Into It as Tents have Clear 7ft Clear Height. the Tents are Large Enough for a Family Also. all Tents have Electricity with Charging Points, So as to Charge the Cameras for the Next Day to Capture Those Beautiful Life Time Images.

• Day 1 : ARRIVE AT BASE CAMP. ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES & ACCLIMATIZATION WALK

• Day 2 : TREK SALLI VILLAGE – CHAGROTU (2800M) 10 Kms/5Hrs

  Post breakfast we trek along the Khauli River crossing the Salli village towards Daled camp site
  
  > The trail crosses through dense forest crossing Chandraila temple leading to the meadows of Chagrotu
  
  > Arrive at Chagrotuand organize the camp for overnight stay
  
  > Evening to explore the surrounding area. Dinner & Overnight

• Day 3 : Chagrotu– Cross Baleni Pass (3750 Mts) 5 Kms/ 5 Hrs

  Trail Climbs Steeply Up Towards the Baleni Pass. Cross Over the Pass and We Camp Besides Kali Dal.

  After Breakfast, We Walk Down to the Handi Forest. Evening to Explore the Area Around
