Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight: Hotel.
• Day 2 : Delhi - Srinagar flight

  Morning transfer to the airport to board the flight to Srinagar. Upon arrival in Srinagar, you will be met & transferred to House boat. Evening exploring the backwaters of the Dal lake visiting old settlements in and around this beautiful lake. Overnight: House Boat.

• Day 3 : Srinagar Sightseeing

  After breakfast visit the Mughal Gardens, Chashmi-e Shahi (The Royal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Overnight: House Boat.

• Day 4 : In Srinagar

  Early morning enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake to see the vegetables market. In the after noon visit the Old city. Overnight: House Boat.

• Day 5 : Srinagar - Sonmarg - Kargil

  Drive from Srinagar to Kargil via Sonmarg and Dras. Overnight: Hotel.
• Day 6 : Kargil - Mulbek - Lamayuru

  Drive along the highway to Mulbek to view the 7th century rock carving of Maitreya Buddha. Continue on to Lamayuru monastery, the first monastic foundation in Ladakh. Arrive & stay in tent. Overnight: Tent.
• Day 7 : Lamayuru 3420m - Wanla 3250 m (3 hrs)

  After visiting Lamayuru monastery we will pack our backpacks and set off for our first day's adventure. We will follow a stream for a time, and gradually climb up to the pass of Prinkti La (3750m). We will later pass through the small village of Shilla (3700 m) before reaching our campsite at Wanla (3250m), where we will spend the afternoon either relaxing in the sun or visiting the monastery. Overnight: Tent.
• Day 8 : Wanla - Hinju 3720m (4-5 hrs)

  From the encampment we will continue along the trail and ascend the ridge below Kongskil La (4950m). If lucky we will get glimpses of some wild life. We will then climb gradually until we reach Kongskil La where we will be surrounded by dizzying views of the Karakoram and Stok ranges.
• Day 9 : Hinju - Sumda Doksa 4430m (5-6 hrs)

  Walking Time 6 hrs. It is not tough to negotiate 4820m of Dung Dung La and then gradual descending to Chilling 3350m. From La one can see large Himalayan Range of Zhanskar with many towering peaks.
  
  The descent down the trail is quite steep with loose moraine causing the difficulty - so be careful! The trail then follows the left side of valley floor, passing a yak herders ' hut (4500m), before we reach our campsite. This valley is occupied mainly by the villagers of Sumda Chenmo. Overnight: Tent.

• Day 10 : Sumda Doksa - Dung Dung Chan la base 4430m (4-5 hrs)

  After a short walk and a few river crossings, we will reach the village of Sumda Chenmo. From there we head towards the true left side of the valley, which provides a beautiful view of the village with its lush greenery.
  
  Further on the trail cuts through the valley's wild rose bushes and leads us to another river crossing (this stream originates from the high snow- capped peaks of Photoksar (5685m). Before making a steep challenging ascent over Lanka, we will see Edelweiss and some of the other rare wild flowers of Ladakh. From the campsite, there is a splendid view of Konskila. Overnight: Tent.

• Day 11 : Dung Dung Chan La base - Chilling 3550m (5 hrs) - Leh drive

  We will begin the day with a straightforward climb to Dung dung Chan La (4820m), which offers views of the beautiful vistas of the Stok Range in the east and the Zanskar Range in the south. From the pass the trail gradually descends down a ridge toward the valley continually tapering before reaching the village of Chilling.
  
  Chilling is the only village in Ladakh that has provided metal works such as copper, bronze, tin, silver and iron to the Leh market through the centuries. From Chilling we will drive for about 3 hours along the Zanskar River. We will eventually reach its confluence with the Indus and the easy road back to Leh enroute visit the Alchi Monastery. Overnight: Hotel.

• Day 12 : Sightseeing of Indus Valley

  Today, visit the Shey palace, Thiksey monastery, the well known Hemis monastery, the Stok palace (museum of family heirloom and present residence of Ladakh's royalty. Return to Leh via Choglamsar village. Overnight: Hotel.
• Day 13 : Leh - Delhi Flight

  Morning transfer to the airport to board the flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transferred to hotel. Afternoon visit the old city. Overnight: Hotel Connaught or similar.
• Day 14 : Delhi Sightseeing & Transfer to International Airport

  Full day visit in old and new Delhi which includes Red fort, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque), Birla Temple, Raj Ghat, India Gate, drive past Parliament house, President's house, Qutub Minar (Delhi's oldest monument) and Lotus temple. Late evening transfer to the International airport to board the flight.
