The Bhakti Movement was a rapid growth of bhakti beginning in this region with the Saiva Nayanars (4th - 10th centuries) and the Vaisnava Alvars who spread bhakti poetry and devotion. The Alwars and Nayanmars were instrumental in propagating the Bhakti tradition.
Ooty attractions
Ooty Lake - Ooty Lake is a popular destination for picniking, paddle boating and enjoying Ooty leisurely. Built in 1825, it is a 2.5 kilometre long lake meandering through the scenic beauty of the Nilgiris.
Botanical Gargen - Ooty Botanical Garden spread over a huge area of 22 hectares and with more than 650 species of flowers and trees, is a horticulturist delight. The highlight of the garden is a fossil tree that is believed to be 20 million years old.
Doddabetta Peak - Doddabetta Peak at an altitude of 8,606 feet is the highest point of South India. Located 10 kilometres from Ooty, this peak is a huge crowd puller. The view of Nilgiris from here is breathtaking.
Mysore attractions
Brindavan Gardens - Sprawling over a large area of about 150 acres, Brindavan Gardens are considered to be the best in Mysore. This beautiful stretch of land is situated just a level below the popular Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir that is built across the cauvery or Kaveri River.
Mysore Palace - Mysore's proud possession and one of India's most visited attractions, Mysore Palace is an incredible man - made edifice. It is a palatial structure that tells many tales of India's complex and intriguing past.
Kodaikanal attractions
Pillar Rocks - Pillar Rocks on a clear day. These constitute three massive granite boulders standing together, each 400 - feet tall. Together, they make for an amazing sight. You will see many monkeys who will try their level best to steal your food.
Kodai Lake - Created in 1863, the unique feature of the manmade Kodai lake is its star - like shape. The green meadows surrounding its crystal blue waters make for a perfectly beautiful sight.
Coakers walk - It was named after Lt. Coaker who prepared the city map of Kodaikanal. This lovely walkway set near a lake offers picture perfect views of the valley.Any meals other than those mentioned above

Day 1 : Bangalore - Mysore
On arrival Bangalore drive to Mysore as you reach proceed for check in to the hotel. later visit the beautiful Brindavan garden and. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Mysore - Ooty
After breakfast check out of the hotel visit Chamundi Hills and Bull temple followed by a visit to the Mysore Palace and poceed to Ooty. In route visit Pykara Lake, on arrival Ooty check in to the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 : Ooty
After breakfast proceed to sightseeing tour of Ooty visit Doddabetta peak, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden. Later visit Charing Cross after visit Tea Museum and enjoy boating at the Ooty lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Ooty - Kodaikanal
After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to Coonor (Coonor by famous toy train). After the train journey visit the Sim's park, lamb's rock, dolphin's nose then drive to Kodaikanal. Check in to the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Kodaikanal
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal. Visit Pine Forest and Green Valley view point. later visit Pillar Rock and Coakers walk. In evening enjoy boating at the Kodai Lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Departure
After breakfast check out of the hotel and transferred to Coimbatore airport.
