Day 1 : Arrival Ban Houai Xai
Arrival on the Lao side river at Ban Houeixay we will walk up the embankment to the small building,which houses the Lao customs. After passing through customs we will meet our Lao guide and continue to check in the guest house that we've booked for you. At 18.00 pm you'll catch up with your local Lao guide. He will give you a short briefing about the itinerary for the next coming days.
Day 2 : Ban Houai Xai - Xieng Kok
This morning we will be transferred to Muang Ton Pheung and then take to the Mekong River for a spectacular journey. Leaving by speedboat head west along the Mekong, soon passing the 'Golden Triangle' where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (Burma).
Day 3 : Xieng kok - trekking - home stay Akha village
After breakfast we head for the real jungle. An approximately five hour trek will take us to a charming Akha village where we will spend the night at the village. The hike will lead you through a forest of giant stands of bamboo, strangler figs, mountains and rice fields. The unique Akha home stay will give you a wonderful chance to experience the hospitality of the Akha.
Day 4 : Akha village - Muang Sing
Morning awake you will learn the sounds of the village coming to life. Roosters probably will start crowing long before the sun up. You will learn about villager life, we'll start walking for ( 5 hours). to the pave road and Our van with driver who is waiting for us at the main road, will take us to Muang Singh. On the way to Muang sing we will have a short visit at a Laenthen village.
Day 5 : Muang Sing
Half day trek into the surrounding hills, visiting dwellings of the Yao, Thai Lu and Ikho.
Day 6 : Muang Singh - Oudom Xai
Long drive from Muang Singh, The road condition depends on the weather. The scenery however is spectacular mostly forested with slash and burn cultivation and with many hill tribe villages along the way.
Day 7 : Oudom Xai - Nongkhiaw
Leaving out of Oudom Xai valley, we are rewarded with some amazing views. Most of the villages are inhabited by the Hmong people who are distinctive in the way. Late afternoon we'll reach in Nong Khiaw, where we have to overnight here at Local bungalow near the river.
Day 8 : Nongkhiaw - Luang Prabang
After breakfast we'll left Nong khiew, We board our wooden 'sampan' and continue our trip on the Ou River. Before reaching Luang Prabang, we will stop to visit the Pac Ou caves, where we climb steps up the limestone cliffs to reach the sacred Buddhist shrine. will arrive in Luang Prabang Late afternoon. some time to relax and un wind or to explore a bit of this world heritage town.
Day 9 : Luang Prabang - elephant riding
8:30 AM, pick you up from your hotel, half hour ride we'll arrive Ban Xieng Lon. will enjoy a scenic elephant ride for an hour, depending on the trail and weather conditions. The route will give us wonderful views on the country side and will end at a waterfall and enjoin the lucnh.
Day 10 : Luang Prabang
This early morning you may want to wake up early and participate in a daily Lao morning ritual. Monks carrying their bowls, wander trough town, blessing local people who give them offers (mostly sticky rice). After ofeering food to monk we'll head to Kuang Si waterfalls where turquoise waters cascade over limestone formations. The abundance of water forms a magnificent display of nature. along the way you will see several ethnic minority villages (Hmong and Khmu). In Ban Phanom, a weaving village, you can find excellent pieces of Lao textile. Near the waterfalls, it's worth to visit a centre where the endangered black Asiatic beers found a safe shelter. and taste of Lao cuisine.
Day 11 : Luang Prabang - Phonesavanh
Mini van leave from Luangprabang to phonesavanh (6-7 hours).
mini van will arrivephonesavnh before sunset, then we rush heading to plain of jars site 1 beforesun set.
Day 12 : Plain of jars tour
Phonesavanh plain of jar site 3,2 Russian tank & whisky village,Muong Khun, wat phia wat.
Day 13 : Phonesavanh to Vang Vieng
7 hours drive to vang vieng.
Day 14 : Vang vieng
The whole day is at leisure. You probably like to enjoy some excursions such as exploring the surrounding caves by bicycle, hiring a canoe, tubing or rafting.
Day 15 : Vang Vieng - Vientiane
4 hours drive to the capital city of Laos. Vientiane is a friendly sleepy town resting on the shores of the mighty Mekong River.
Day 16 : Vientiane - day at leisure
Vientiane is a friendly sleepy city resting on the shores of the mighty Mekong River. The city is blessed with temples as wat Sisaket, wat Prakeo and the impressive That Luang Stupa, the country's most important monument.
