Package Overview

Icelanders take their legends, myths quite seriously. And the tales are quite interesting almost rationalizing it! Even the Snaefellsnes is named after a half troll half man Bárður Snæfellsás. Whether the poor young troll was wrongly accused and met his maker a bit early or not, the place is truly magical.
Snaefellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland has some of the most magnificent lava fields, volcanoes, glacier, waterfalls, mineral springs, beautifully formed rocks, yellow and black sand beaches as well as caves and very interesting bird colonies. From friendly seals to shark meat, this is where you get as traditionally Icelandic as possible! If you are brave enough you can taste the “delicious” rotten shark – followed quickly by a shot of Icelandic schnapps, or “brennivin” in case the taste is a bit overwhelming! Let’s just take off. The magical place is waiting, teaming with trolls and elves!
