Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Mumbai/Delhi To Arrival Leh

On a clear day from one side of the aircraft one can see the peaks of k2, nanga parbat, gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft is the nun kun in zanskar valley, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it. Upon arrival you will met by india by car chauffeur representative and transfer to hotel for check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by welcome tea or coffee at the hotel ladakh himalayan retreat (lhr). Overnight stay at leh hotel.

• Day 2 : Leh Local Sightseeing

  Local sightseeing of sangam river-hall of fame-magnetic hill-pathar sahib.
  
  After breakfast proceed to Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the indus river visiting, pathar sahib gurdwara and magnetic hill (where the cars defy gravity), and further on to leh hall of fame (which has a museum of the kargil war memorabilia.

• Day 3 : Leh- Khardongla - Nubra Valley / 125 Kms / 4-5 Hours

  After breakfast leave for nubra valley, popularly known as dorma or 'the valley of flowers' driving across khardungla-la (alt: 18,380 ft.), the highest motorable pass in the world. Nubra valley lies between the Karakoram & ladakh ranges at an average altitude of 10,000 ft. Till the closure of the trans-Karakoram trade route by the Chinese in 1949, nubra valley was a busy trade corridor on the central asian trade route. Reach deskit / hunder in the afternoon and explore the area and the white sand dunes where you can also take a short camel safari on the double-humped bactrian camel found there (optional service). Overnight stay at nubra hotel.

• Day 4 : Nubra valley – Shayok - Pangong / 125 kms / 4 - 5 Hours.

  After breakfast drive towards Pangong via shayok, reaching in the afternoon. Pangong lake (alt:14,500ft.), the largest brackish water lake of asia, is 4-5kms wide and about 135kms long of which about two-thirds portion lies on the other side of the indo-china border. Overnight stay at Pangong hotel.

• Day 5 : Pangong to Tsmoriri

  After breakfast drive towards tsmoriri lake via saga-la. Tso-moriri is also known as ‘mountain lake’ (28km long & about 8km wide) is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. Overnight stay at tsmoriri.

• Day 6 : Tsmoriri To Leh

  After breakfast retraces the route towards leh via kharu enroute visit hot spring Chumathang.

  After breakfast drive to visit shanti stupa, leh palace, stok palace museum shey and hemis monastery, thiksay monastery.

  Today, bid farewell to your tour, as you are transferred to the airport in leh for your onward journey with wonderful memories of leh-ladakh.
