Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

  Arrival at Delhi international airport. Clear immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage and Lotus India Holidays representative will meet you with a placard. Transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight. (No Meals)
• Day 2 : Delhi

  After breakfast full day city tour of Delhi, tour starts with Old Delhi drive past of Red Fort. Visit the Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Later take a Rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit New Delhi, which will include photo stop at- Parliament House, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of the best examples of a Mughal Garden Tomb. Later visit Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret.

• Day 3 : Delhi - Leh

  Take the morning flight for Leh. Check into the hotel for a Complete day of rest wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the Hotel. Lunch will be served at 2.00 PM, after lunch visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa.

• Day 4 : Leh - Shey - Thiksey - Hemis - Leh

  Morning after breakfast full day sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area. Such as Hemis Gompa, Shay place, Stakna, Thiksey Monastery. In the evening back to hotel.

• Day 5 : Leh - Lamayuru - Wanla 3250 m

  Morning after breakfast drive to Lamayuru along the Indus River through Sham valley. Enroute- we will visit Lamayuru monastery, after visiting the Lamayuru Monastery, we start our trek. After following the stream for some time, we will gradually move up to the small Pass of Prinkti La (3750m). We will the walk down a narrow gorge to the small village of Shilla, and the last 3 km will take us to Wanla (3250m).

• Day 6 : Wanla - Base of Tarla 5200 m

  Morning after breakfast we will follow the left side of the valley along a small stream for around a hour and arrive at the scattered Ursi village .We will walk a little further to arrive at our campsite at base of Tarla.

• Day 7 : Base of Tarla - Tar

  Today, we will have to trek up and down a few times before reaching the Tarla (5200 m). Climbing down is difficult due to a mass of fallen rocks strewn about. It takes 3-4 hrs for us to reach our campsite at the village of Tar.

• Day 8 : Tar - Mang Gyu

  From Tar, the path heads up along the mountainside to a small Pass. We will have an easy descent to Mang Gyu village, where there are traditional Ladakhi houses and an Ancient monastery worth visiting. It is believed that the monasteries of the Mang Gyu and Alchi were built on the same day. Overnight at Camps/ Tents

• Day 9 : Mang Gyu - Alchi - Leh (3hrs drive)

  Morning after breakfast, We will end our last day by walking down a very beautiful arrow valley covered with rosebushes all along the path. We will reach the village of Gera, where we’ll find our vehicle waiting to take us back to Leh. But before that we will visit the beautiful and famous monasteries of Alchi and Likir. Later drive towards Leh. Upon arrival at Leh.

• Day 10 : Leh - Delhi

  Morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport for the catch the flight for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, transfer to International airport time to catch the flight for onward destination.
