With this immersive experiential travel program, the focus is providing insight, to the travelers, into the lifestyle, culture and local traditions of a Pahadi Village. Travelers are encouraged to interact with the local community, and, celebrate wearing the fabric of diversity and pluralism.
In this single week experiential program, the participants will visit and explore the pristine village of Laluri Khal, which boasts a completely exotic, and, off the beaten track experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. The participants will get an opportunity to experience the world through the eyes of a villager, understand, and, become a part of another community.
They will learn about the local traditions, culture, cuisine of the village. They will get to interact with the local students, the families, and, the panchayat and understand how the locals live.
Away from the technological revolution, you will get the freedom to explore unconventional, and, unseen mountain trails with experienced captains.
The tea-sipping ceremony, the yoga sessions will all inculcate an important value of mindfulness and will help the travellers to relax, sit back and introspect life.
The team will participate in local activities like basket weaving, rope making and will end their fruitful day under the star-studded sky, enjoying the bonfire and barbecue.
Day 1 : Arrival to Laluri Khal
On reaching Laluri Khal, you will be warmly received by the villagers, and our team with a Traditional Welcome Ceremony, which includes Aarti, Drums, Folk Dance and much more.
The Mandaan, a traditional drumming ceremony, dating back to the era of Mahabharatha, will also be showcased to the travellers. You will also participate in this event filled with fun and excitement.
After that, you will participate in a Traditional Tea Session with the entire group and the village people, where you will not only sip on the famous Adrak Ki Chai but also get to exchange ideas with the wise people of Laluri Khal.
Feast upon the traditional food of the village prepared by host families and dine like the villagers do.
Day 2 : Expand Your Horizons and Explore
After early morning breakfast in the host’s family home, you will set out to fetch water from the nearby spring along with the team, a daily activity for the villagers.
The mindful Yoga Session in the morning will also see the entire team's participation. Here you will free your body to stay fit, and let go of all your worries of the busy city.
Trekking to chandrabadani temple.
Lunch at dhaba near chandrabadani, Gharwali cuisine.
Chai at villagers home.
Community dinner.
Day 3 : On-field farm work and yoga sessions.
After early morning breakfast in the host’s family home, you will set out to fetch water from the nearby spring along with the team.
Another mindful Yoga Session in the morning will also see the entire team's participation.
This day will by and large involve physical roles in the field like:
• Grass fetching
• Harvesting
• Haldi plantation
• Painting homestays according to the season with the host families.
In the evening, after a long day's hardwork, you will be served the tastiest, mouth-watering food at the hometays prepared by the locals.
Day 4 : Traditional Handicraft session
After the customary early morning breakfast followed by water fetching from the springs and the following Yoga sessions, you will be taught indigenous art and craft involving rope-making, and, basket-making.
After a delightful and traditional tea-sipping session with the village families, if time allows, a small replication of a traditional festival will be organised.
Dinner will be served at the host families at night, and this will bring your tour to a conclusion.
In the morning, after bidding farewell to the warm and compassionate villagers, and, to the lovely village of Laluri Khal, you will depart for New Delhi with the team.
