Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

representative picks up your from New Delhi Airport and transfers you to your pre-booked hotel fro overnight stay.
Day 2 : Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Board Express Train to Chandigarh and drive down to Manali, Himachal Pradesh
Day 3 : Manali

After breakfast embark on Manali Sightseeing Tour. Attractions in Manali - Manu Temple, Hadimba Temple, Mountaineering Institute, Vashishth Temple & Hot Water Springs, Old Manali, etc. Take dinner and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4 : Manali - Rohtang Pass

After breakfast, travel by jeep to Rohtang Pass (Gateway to Lahaul). Then continue by jeep to Losar via Kunzam L Pass. Losar is the first village in the Spiti Village. Dinner and overnight will be in the tents.

Day 5 : Losar - Kaza (By Jeep)

After hearty breakfast at the camp, continue by Jeep to Kaza - the Modern Capital of Spiti. Overnight will be in the tents with all meals at Kaza.
Day 6 : Kaza

After hearty breakfast at the camp, travel by jeep to the Dhankar Fort, the former capital of Spiti, high above the meeting point of the Pin and Spiti Rivers. Then continue towards Tabo Monastery. The monastery is one of the excellent artistic treasures in the Himalayan region. Here you can see its beautiful paintings and ancient sculptures. Overnight will be in the tents with meals.
Day 7 : Kaza - Kibber

After breakfast, go to visit Kyi Monastery, the largest in Spit Valley. Then proceed to Kibber. Kibber is famous as the world's highest village with electricity and daily bust service. Overnight stay will be at Kibber in tents with meals.

Day 8 : Kibber

Take breakfast at the camp. Enjoy local walk around Kibber. Overnight stay will be at the camp with meals.
Day 9 : Kibber

Take your breakfast. Begin trekking with a short but steep climb to the grazing pastures above Kibber. Stay overnight at Kibber.

Day 10 : Kibber - Langza

Take breakfast. Trek gradually up through a small plateau and alpine pasture. Climb up for 1 hour from Gete Village. You will see some fossils on the way. Trek down to the Shilla River. Cross the river and trek up towards Langza Village. Watch out for the beautiful view of Shilla Peak. Camp near the village. Visit the Langza monastery situated above. Overnight with meals will be at the camp.
Day 11 : Langza - Kumik

After breakfast, go on easy path up to Hikkim Village and then make a horizontal walk to the village of Kumik. Visit Tangyut Monastery situated above Kumik. The ruins of the Tangyut Monastery can be seen near Hikkim. In 1975 an earthquake had destroyed the monastery. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp near the Kumik Village.
Day 12 : Kumik - Dumal

After breakfast trek up to Kaugme. Further trek to Dhumal situated on the Lingti Valley. See the beautiful view of the valley. Dinner & overnight stay will be in the tents at Dumal.

Day 13 : Dumal - Lalung

Take your breakfast. Trek down via steep zigzag to a small bridge and cross the bridge. Now walk along the right bank of the Lingti River. Cross a bridge on the river and the walk for an hour passing through a dry Gorge to Lalun Village. Visit the ancient Sherkhang Monastery, which is 1000 years old. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Camp near the monastery.
Day 14 : Lalung - Dhankar - Dhankar Lake

After breakfast trek towards Dhankar Monastery passing through alpine meadows. Visit the Queen's palace and the Dhankar monastery. Dhankar traditionally was the old capital of Spiti Valley. However Monastery is older than Tabo Monastery. 120 young and old monks are receiving religious training. Now make 45 minutes gradual ascent towards the Dhankar Lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp near the Dhankar Lake.

Day 15 : Dhankar - Tabo

After breakfast, trek towards Tabo Monastery. The monastery is very famous for its frescoes, murals, paintings and sculptures. It is also famously called as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas". It is situated on the right of the Spiti River, flanked on either side of towering hills. Dinner & overnight stay will be at the camp near the monastery.
Day 16 : Tabo - Pin Valley

After breakfast, explore surroundings of Tabo. Later, proceed to Pin Valley - a very amazing green valley in Spiti Region. Later visit to the Kungri Gompa - the old Monastery of Spiti. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 17 : Pin Valley - Manali

After breakfast, proceed to Manali from Pin Valley. On arrival at Manali, ToshaliHolidays.com representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 18 : Manali - Delhi

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Delhi (14 hours Drive). On arrival in Delhi, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 19 : Delhi - Departure

Have relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for sightseeing tours of Delhi visiting its historical monuments and other attractions. Finish your last minute shopping. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the hote . you will be transferred to New Delhi International Airport to board flight for your home/onward destination.

DARE THE HIMALAYAS is THE organization to hire for trekking in the Indian Himalayas. We have done Bhabha-Pin Pass, Borassu Pass, Rakhtisar-The Great Himalayan National Park Trek with them over 2014-17 seasons.
