Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Chennai - Excursion to Thiruthani

  Arrival and transfer to pre-booked hotel, post check in and refreshment, drive to Thiruthani to visit the Thiruthani Murugan Temple one of the six sacred adobes of where Lord Murugan reclaimed his inner peace after waging a war with Asuras and married Valli. Located 87 kms from Chennai on the hill of Thiruttani which has 365 steps indicating 365 days of the year. Evening return back to Chennai for overnight stay.
• Day 2 : Pondicherry

  Morning after breakfast, check out and drive the east coast towards Pondicherry, en-route we will stop over at Mahabalipuram to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments of Mahabalipuram the Shore Temple, Pancha Ratha, Varaha Cave Temple, Tiger Cave, Krishna Mandapam, Balancing rock, Arjuna's Penance, all within 1-2 km radius. Later continue to reach Pondicherry. Arrive and check in to your pre-booked hotel. Evening free for relaxation and explore the French town on own. If time permits visit to Pondicherry Beach, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Boat House, Auroville Museum. Overnight stay in Pondicherry hotel.

• Day 3 : Swamimalai Murugan Temple

  After an early breakfast, check out from the hotel. Today we visit the Swamimalai Murugan Temple, located 5 km from Kumbakonam; the temple is built on an artificial hill. The temple commemorates the incident where Murugan explained the essence of the pranava mantra "Om" to his father Shiva. Time on own to offer prayers here. Post darshan we drive to Tanjore or Trichy, arrive and check in to the pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.
• Day 4 : Kodaikanal

  Morning after breakfast, check out and continue the holy trail to reach Kodaikanal. Arrive and check in to the booked hotel. Post refreshment; visit to Kodai Lake a manmade lake which is the prime attraction of the hill station, here one can enjoy boat ride (direct payment) followed by a visit to Coakers walk (a 1-km of paved walk with awesome views on one side). Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

• Day 5 : Palani Murugan Temple

  Morning after breakfast, today we visit the Palani Murugan Temple. Located in Dindigul District, on the Palani hill top where 'Dhandayuthapani' is the main deity, in a meditating state, carrying a staff ('danda') as weapon ('ayutha') in his hands ('pani'). This is the place where Murugan resided after his feud with his family over a divine fruit. Here, the main deity is made out of an amalgam of nine minerals popularly called Navabashanam and was established by Saint Bhogar. Also visit the bottom ( Malai Adivaram ) called 'Thiruaavinankudi', where the deity is known as 'Kuzhanthai Velayuthaswami' and was worshipped by Goddess Lakshmi ('Thiru' in Tamil), the sacred cow Kamadhenu ('Aa' in Tamil), the sun god Surya ('Inan' in both Tamil & Sanskrit), the earth goddess ('ku' in Tamil), and the fire god Agni ('Di' in Tamil), and has idols of all of them. Later return back to Kodaikanal, evening at leisure, relaxation and individual activities, overnight stay at Kodaikanal.
• Day 6 : Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple

  Morning after breakfast, check out and drive towards Madurai. Arrive and check in to your pre-booked hotel. Refresh quickly and drive to visit the Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple located just on the outskirts of Madurai on a hillock where Kartikeyan married Indra's daughter Deivanai. Nakkeerar worshipped Murugan in this shrine and is said to have worshiped Lord Shiva here as Parangirinathar. Post offering prayers we drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
• Day 7 : Pazhamudhircholai Murugan Temple

  Enjoy early breakfast and start for an excursion to visit the Pazhamudhircholai Murugan Temple located on a hillock with a holy stream nearby called "Nupura Gangai". Murugan is seen with both his consorts Deivanai and Valli. Evening return back to Madurai and also visit the Meenakshi Temple Complex. Return back to hotel for overnight stay.
• Day 8 : Thiruchendur

  Enjoy early breakfast and check out. Today we drive to Tiruchendur to visit the Thiruchendur Murugan temple, located on the sea-shore near Tuticorin amongst the remains of Gandhamadana Parvatam or Santhanamalai (Sandal Mountain). The temple commemorates the place where Murugan won a decisive victory over demon Soorapadman by worshipping Lord Shiva. Time free to offer prayer and explore surrounding on own. Later in the evening we drive to reach Kanyakumari. Arrive and check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 9 : Kanyakumari - Trivandrum Drop

  Morning after breakfast check out and if time permits visit to Vivekananda Rock memorial, Kumari Amman temple and various other sights at Kanyakumari. At time transfer and drop to Trivandrum Airport/ Railway station. Tour Concludes with enchanting memories.
