Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival

You will be met at Nairobi Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara, named after the Masai people and the Mara River, which divides the park.

Masai Mara National Park is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest from the adjoining Serengeti National Park. This phenomenon occurs every year from July to October, when game migrates along a circular route from the plains of the Serengeti to the Masai Mara and back again in search of fresh pastures, followed by hungry predators - most notably lions and hyena.

Check into your lodge and enjoy a late afternoon game drive into this magnificent wildlife sanctuary.
Day 2 : Masai Mara

Today is dedicated to game viewing on the open plains of the world famous Masai Mara conservancy region.

Nestled within the enormous Great Rift Valley, the Masai Mara is famous for its many prides of lions, packs of hyena and other predators - as well as huge herds of wildebeest, which number over one million, zebra and giraffe. All the Big Five can be seen here, as well as numerous other species including the Thomson's gazelle, topi, kongoni, impala, roan antelope and hippo. The nocturnal bat-eared fox, rarely found elsewhere in Kenya, also inhabits this region as well as the endangered cheetah and black rhino. Bird watching is also excellent with over 450 different species including the vulture, marabou stork, secretary bird, hornbill, crowned crane, ostrich, long-crested eagle and african pygmy-falcon.

Set off early each morning, when game viewing conditions are at their best, to view the abundant wildlife. Return to your lodge to rest in the heat of the day, before setting off again in the late afternoon for another game drive.

Note: One free full day game drive into the Masai Mara National Reserve is included during your stay. As wildlife ranges freely between the surrounding conservancies & the national park, without any fences, this is only necessary during the migration season and can be removed at other times of the year, if preferred.
Day 3 : Masai Mara

Day 4 : Nairobi

After a final early morning game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Nairobi.

You will be met at Wilson Airport and transferred to your hotel conveniently situated near the international airport.
Day 5 : Transfer to Nairobi Airport

Transfer to Nairobi Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Zanzibar Airport and transferred 1-hour to your beach hotel.

Check in and relax in your wonderful surroundings on this exotic East African spice archipelago.
Day 6 : Zanzibar

Today meet with your hotel manager to discuss your wedding and any special requests you may have regarding the ceremony.

Balance of the day is free to relax on the warm golden beaches of Zanzibar.
Day 7 : Wedding Day

Wake at leisure on this your WEDDING DAY.

Today you will meet your Marriage Officer to discuss the significance of the commitment you are about to make to each other. This is your opportunity to raise any special requests you may have regarding your ceremony. If the regional commissioner is unable to come to your hotel, then you will travel into Stone Town for your civil ceremony.

Then relax and enjoy every moment of this your special day, as you exchange vows under warm blue skies on the shores of the Indian Ocean - creating memories of a lifetime and toasting your marriage with champagne.

Wedding package varies by hotel, but usually includes small bouquet of flowers for the bride, buttonhole for the groom, small wedding cake & a bottle of sparkling wine. Any other extras (eg make-up, photographer) will be subject to a supplement. Full details of the package you have chosen will be provided separately. We also offer a free Gift Registry App.

Residence Requirement: 4 days before wedding, with 21 days notice of intended marriage.

Documents to be provided in advance (take originals with you, plus 2 certified copies in English):
Full birth certificates
Passport biographic pages
2 recent colour passport photos each
If divorced, divorce certificate & previous marriage certificate
If widowed, death certificate & previous marriage certificate
Personal handwritten affidavit from both bride & groom (separately) stating full name, date and place of birth and confirming you are single and free to marry. State date of intended marriage and full names, dates & places of birth of parents. Affidavit to be signed by a solicitor.

Please note that the laws of Tanzania do not permit marriage between people related by blood, marriage or adoption, or same sex marriages.
Day 8 : Zanzibar Archipelago

At leisure to relax on the warm golden Indian Ocean beaches of the Zanzibar Archipelago.

You can enjoy a traditional Arab dhow cruise, catamaran sailing, magnificent scuba diving or deep sea fishing. If you wish to explore the island further, day excursions include a Spice Island tour, a snorkelling trip to Prison Island where you can see giant tortoises, a visit to Josani Forest or to Kizimkazi where you can see dolphins.
Day 9 : Zanzibar Archipelago
