Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi

  Our representative will meet you on arrival in Nairobi for a transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time we will organize a half day tour of the city of Nairobi, which covers the colourful City Market with its wide variety of curios, the Parliament Buildings, the Railway Museum, and the National Museum, next to which is the Snake Park is located. Overnight in Nairobi Serena hotel.
• Day 2 : Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

  This morning, you begin your safari by driving down to the border between Kenya and Tanzania. Your destination is Amboseli, a park famous for large herds of elephant and its spectacular view of Mt Kilimanjaro; Amboseli is also famous for buffalo, antelope and the occasional hippo Dinner and over night at the Amboseli serena lodge.
  
  Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park.
  
  Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. This is the only sources of water in this otherwise starkly beautiful but arid park, attract huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent.
• Day 3 : Amboseli National Park

  While Kilimanjaro is actually across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli has a perfect view of this world's tallest freestanding mountain, rising an impressive 5 kilometres above the plains. The best time to view the majestic mountain is at dawn and sunset, when the clouds lift and the light is both clear and soft.
  
  Amboseli Serena Lodge
  As Amboseli is easily accessible, it forms a popular part of many of our safari itineraries. Amboseli is one of the smaller game parks in Kenya and the vegetation ensures that the animals are easy to spot. Lions can easily be found and can occasionally be watched stalking their prey. Dinner and over night at the Amboseli serena lodge.
• Day 4 : Amboseli National Park - Tsavo West National Park

  After an early breakfast, head for Tsavo West via the spectacular "Shaitani Lava Flow". En-route, you may buy a goat for the evening's Nyama Choma (open fire barbeque) Party. Tsavo is Kenya's largest game park and home to the infamous man-eating lions that preyed on linesmen during the building the Uganda Railway at the turn of the last century. Afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at satao safari camp.
  
  Satao Luxury Safari Camp
  Nestled amongst trees and surrounding a central water-hole, the semi-circular layout of the camp provides an excellent viewing point for each of our guests. Satao Camp has 20 tents, all e-suite, thoughtfully positioned to ensure a full view of the camps "own" watering hole.
• Day 5 : Tsavo West National Park

  Take a drive to the crystal clear waters of Mzima Springs. With luck, you will see "moon walking" hippo from the safety of the underwater glass observation tank. Also scheduled is a visit to the Shaitani Caves to experience the pitch darkness. Back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure by the swimming pool of the Lodge, or alternatively, you may choose to go on a game drive to the Rhino Sanctuary, weather permitting. dinner and overnight at satao safari camp.
• Day 6 : Tsavo West National Park - Nairobi

  After breakfast, a last game drive and lunch en-route to Nairobi where you arrival in the evening. Dinner tonight will be at the Carnivore Restaurant, the one place not to miss out on. The Carnivore is renowned for its steaks and wide variety of barbecued game meat. This is an excellent place to complete your safari. Overnight in Nairobi Serena hotel.
• Day 7 : Nairobi

  Relax on the hotel grounds or go shopping in the bustling metropolis that is a center of commerce in East Africa in preparation for your trip home. Optional activities can also be arranged and these include short trips to nearby destinations such as the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, the Giraffe Manor, the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi National Park and many more. A transfer will be provided from your hotel to the airport for your departure.
