Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive at Paro

  Arrive at Paro and transfer to Thimphu (55km-1½ hours). Upon arrival at Paro, check in hotel either in 4 or 5 stars. After having rest for a while visit Paro Dzong also known as “heap of a jewel” built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel Perhaps the finest example of Bhutanese architecture and also a religious administrative Centre. Then time for leisure.
• Day 2 : Paro to Thimphu (55km½hours)

  After breakfast you will drive to Capital Thimphu (2400m/7875ft). Upon arrival at Thimphu, check in Hotel (4 or 5 stars). Morning visit Memorial Chortenbuilt in 1974 in the memory of Bhutan‘s third King, His Late Majesty, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Chorten literally means ‘Seat of Faith’ and Buddhists often call such monuments, the ‘Mind of Buddha’. In the evening visit Trashichho Dzong the “fortress of the glorious religion” Tashichhodzong houses some ministries, His Majesty’s secretariat, and the central monk body. Then time for leisure.
• Day 3 : Thimphu

  After breakfast, visit National Library established in the late 1960s primarily to conserve the literary treasures which form a significant part of Bhutan’s cultural heritage. Then visit Folk Heritage Museum which houses the collection of household objects, typical domestic tools and equipment and Painting School Commonly known as Arts & Crafts School the Institute offers a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. Then time for Leisure.
• Day 4 : Thimphu to Paro

  Thimphu to Paro, Hike to Taktshang (3-4 Hours walk round trip). Morning you will hike to Taktshang and upon return time for leisure. “Trip to Bhutan is never complete without climbing to Taktsang”, says one tourist. Indeed it’s true as the journey there fills you with spiritual bliss.
