The Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary also a declared tiger reserve shares its boundaries with the states of Karnataka and Kerala. The sanctuary is divided into five ranges – Masinagudi, Thepakadu, Mudumalai, Kargudi and Nellakota.

Land of the ancients, 'old hills' is what Mudumalai literally translates into. It is one of the first wildlife sanctuaries in the country and ranks among the top in the visual beauty of its changing seasons. In summer, the deciduous trees shed their green leaves and adorn a floral garb. With the arrival of the monsoons, fruits and tender greens take their place.

The protected area is home to several endangered and vulnerable species including Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, gaur and Indian leopard. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Check-in and relax. Explore the Resort.
• Day 2 : Wildlife Safari

  Morning - 5:30 am to 10.30 am
  Wildlife Safari: Explore the flora and fauna at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, which is popular for its tiger. You can opt for either an elephant safari or a jeep safari.
  Nature Walk: There are some scenic trails around the resort.
  Breakfast & Tea: Have a scrumptious south Indian breakfast to kick-start your day.
  
  Noon - 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
  Doddabetta Peak: The highest peak in the Nilgiris Hill, the Doddabetta Peak is close to Ooty, which is one hour away from the resort.
  Go to Botanical garden: Located at the foot of the Doddabetta Mountain, head here to see some rare tree species.
  
  Evening - 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm
  Wildlife Safari: More than one safari is highly recommended at Mudumalai Tiger reserve.
  Village tour: Experience the local way of life during a visit to a nearby village.
  
  Night - 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm
  Unwind: Watch the evening turn to dusk, from the comfort of your room, over a cup of chai.
  Dinner: Have a delicious meal inspired by the local cuisines of the area.
