Day 1 : Guwahati
Arrive at Guwhaati airport, received and transferred to kamakhya temple, Darshan 3 P.M. Evening at leisure, dinner and overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 2 : Guwahati - Shillong
Today after breakfast drive to Shillong (120 kms / 03.5 hrs), reach Shillong and visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake, cathedral of Marry, Polo Ground and Archery Field. Evening at Leisure, dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong
You will be traveling to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place on the earth. Enroute visit the famous Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak - to enjoy a bird's eye view of Shillong city. At Cherrapunjee visit – Mawsmai Cave, Mawsmai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah and Khrem Falls. Drive back to Shillong for overnight halt.
Day 4 : Shillong - Jowai - Shillong
After breakfast we drive to Nartiang (45 kms / 1.5 hrs). Visit Monolith Park and Durga Mandir.
Garden of Monoliths: Monoliths exist throughout the length and breadth of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. However, the biggest collection of monoliths or Megalithic stones in one single area is to be found north of the Nartiang local market. These consists of Menhirs (Upright stones) Moo Shynrang and Dolmens (flat stones in the horizontal position) locally known as Moo Kynthai. Within the perimetre of these Megalithic collection stands the tallest Menhir erected by U Mar Phalyngki a trusted lieutenant of the Jaintia King to commemorate his victory in battle. Other monoliths were erected by U Mar Phalyngki, U Luh Lyngskor Lamare and various clans of Nartiang village between 1500A.D.and l835A.D. Of the tallest monolith rises to a height of 8 m and has a breadth of 2 m.
Durga Mandir: Nartiang Durga Temple is a 500 Years old Durga Temple located in the Jaintia Hills, a district of Meghalaya, being one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Hindu Mythology; this temple is one of the holiest sites for devotees of the Shakti Cult of Hinduism. The rites at the temple are performed in a unique way, a blend of Hindu and ancient Khasi tradition. The local chieftain or syiem is considered the chief patron of the temple. Even today, during Durga Puja, the Syiem sacrifices goats in the Goddess’s honour. The priests at the temple claim to be the 28th generation of their ancestors. The temple is located on the top of a hill overlooking the river Myndu.
Day 5 : Shillong - Guwahati
Today after breakfast drive to Guwahati, reach Guwahati and visit Navagraha Temple, Umananda Temple, Basistha Asram and evening free for shopping, overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 6 : Guwahati - Departure To Onward Destination
Today after breakfast drive to Guwahati airport / railway station for onward destination.
