Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Mumbai | Mumbai to Alibag

  On your arrival in Mumbai, proceed towards Alibag, a coastal town in Maharashtra. Alibag, originally named as Ramnath, located in the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, is an ideal getaway destination for beach lovers. This old town, developed around 17th century, is known for its lush greenery and pleasant climate. This beautiful place shot to prominence for its clean waters, sandy beaches and fresh air, making it a perfect destination to de-stress. There are a number of places of interest in the town including Alibag Beach, Kolaba Fort, Akshi Beach, Kankeshwar Temple and Undheri Fort. Upon reaching Alibag, complete the check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 2 : Sightseeing in Alibag

  Today, you can start the sightseeing tour of Alibag by paying a visit to Alibag Beach. It is the main beach in the town and is a favourite tourist spot because from here travellers can get a view of the amazing Kolaba Port; indulge in water sports and relax on the sandy beach.
  From here, you can head towards Kolaba Fort, which is just 1 km from this beach. An interesting feature of this fort is that there are freshwater wells in the premises. Close to the fort, there are temples of Padmavati and Mahishasura. Inside the fort, there is a Siddhivinayak Temple.
  Another major attraction in the town is Akshi Beach, a favourite spot for filmmakers. This beautiful white sand beach with plenty of suru trees dotted all along the coast is delightful. It is an idyllic destination for those tourists who love birdwatching. After revelling in the beauty of this alluring place, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

• Day 3 : Alibag to Kashid

  Freshen up in the morning and check-out from the hotel to leave for Kashid, which is about 30 km from Alibag. This beach town on the Konkan belt of the Arabian Sea was not a tourist spot till the mid-90s. However today, it is a popular tourist destination featuring sprawling lush greenery, white gleaming sands and blue waters. Some of the major attractions in the town are Kashid Beach, Revdanda Beach and Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary.
  On reaching Kashid, check-in at the hotel and relax. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 4 : Kashid to Mahabaleshwar

  On this day, check-out from the hotel and commence your journey towards Mahabaleshwar, a hill station cradled in the Western Ghats ranges.
  This popular hill station in Maharashtra attracts thousands of tourists because of its cool climate and spectacular vantage points. Its lofty mountains, mesmeric scenery and cool mountain air make it a popular holiday retreat. Some of the most important places of interest in this hill station are Arthur’s Seat, Mahabaleshwar Mandir, Venna Lake and Pratapgarh Fort.
  Upon arrival in Mahabaleshwar, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day by exploring this beautiful destination.

• Day 5 : Sightseeing in Mahabaleshwar

  In the morning, go on a sightseeing tour of Mahabaleshwar. Start the tour with a visit to the scenic Venna Lake, which was built in the year 1842. This is a wonderful place to spend some peaceful time and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environs. Boating on this lake is favoured by people of age groups as it is a peaceful and calming experience.
  Next, you can go for a visit to Mahabaleshwar Mandir, which is built in a Hemadant architectural style of South India. This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is an important Hindu pilgrimage centre. This shrine houses a 500-year-old self-originated lingam, called swayambhu and a 300-year-old trishul.
  After a visit to this spiritual place, you can opt to explore the majestic Pratapgarh Fort. This hill fort was built by the Maratha rulers is a good place to relive the Maratha history while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding areas. After the pleasurable outing on this day, come back to the hotel and stay overnight.

• Day 6 : Departure

  In the morning, check-out from the hotel and drive from Mahabaleshwar to Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai, proceed towards the railway station or airport to catch your return train or flight.
