Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Arrival in NJP railway station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Our representative will meet you and transfer you to Kurseong(2hrs drive). Evening Free.
• Day 2 : Makaibari Tea Garden Excursion

  After breakfast drive down hill for 20 mins and reach Makaibari Tea Estate.
  Makaibari is located at Kurseong , land of the white orchid in Darjeeling, It is the world's first tea factory and was established in 1859. Rajah Banerjee, the fourth generational owner, has coalesced the ethnic diversity of the seven Makibari villages, to a harmonious entity by holistic sustainable practices. Rudolph Steiner's biodynamic method has evolved an uniquely healthy soil, that houses a healthy society. The goal of biodynamic practices coupled with permaculture, to usher harmony between soil, microorganisms, plants, animals and man, is a shining model at Makaibari for all of mankind to emulate."
• Day 3 : Toy Train Ride/ Transfer to Darjeeling

  After breakfast take a joy ride in Toy Train from Kurseong to Darjeeling. The train ride would take you through some of the amazing landscapes and engineering marvels such as Batasia Loop, it would also take you through Ghoom which was once a world highest railway station. The beautiful experience in Toy Train ride is that it passes through many forest and villages and railway track is connected to road where you can see buses and cars running along with Toy Train. The travel time from Kurseong to Darjeeling is 25kms(one way) and it takes around 2 hours to complete one sector.
• Day 4 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

  3 Points: 4am- 8am. Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around at 4 am) to morning view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather) on your way back visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery.
  7 Points: 9:30am-3:00pm. After Breakfast city tour of Darjeeling visit Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tea Garden, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self – Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda & Ropeway.

• Day 5 : Transfer to Gangtok/ Gangtok Sightseeing

  Tour Start Time (7:30 am)
  After breakfast start continue your travel to next destination – Gangtok. Travel time is 4-5 hrs.
  After lunch sightseeing covering take a half day city tour covering Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday), Flower Show. Overnight in Gangtok.
• Day 6 : Excursion to Changu Lake & Baba Mandir

  Tour Start Time (7:30-8:30 am)
  After breakfast start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms from Gangtok city. This serene lake is situated at an altitude of 12,000 ft on the Gangtok Nathu La highway. The lake is oval in shape, 15 meters deep and is considered sacred by the local people. It is also a home of brahminy ducks. It's cool, placid water harmonizes with the scenic beauty around. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months up to mid-May.
  Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometres further and is an optional tour. Prior permission is required to visit Nathula Pass. Extra cost applies for extended tour to Nathula.
  Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall)/local Shopping at Gangtok.
• Day 7 : Return

  Return drive from Gangtok to NJP or Bagdogra airport. Trip ends Gangtok – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (120 kms / 4-5 hrs drive).
