PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS IN KUALA LUMPUR
PETRONAS Twin Towers were once the tallest buildings in the world. Now the world�s tallest twin structures, the 88-storey buildings were designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates with both towers joined at the 41st and 42nd floors (175m above street level) by a 58 metre-long, double-decker Sky Bridge.

Stretching out to the side of the PETRONAS Twin Towers is the spacious and beautifully landscaped KLCC Park which features a jogging track, walking paths, a water fountain and a wading pool for children.

Besides the mall and park, the PETRONAS Twin Towers has a host of other attractions including the PETRONAS Art Gallery and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Plus the Petrosains Science Centre is here set inside Suria KLCC: it is an interactive science discovery.

INTERACTIVE PEWTER EXHIBIT IN KUALA LUMPUR

An interactive exhibit of pewter manufacturing, the Royal Selangor Visitor�s Centre is a 40,000sqft attraction housing a series of galleries, a factory and retail store. Recognised as one of the country�s premier tourist attractions, the place receives between 800 and 1,200 guests daily. Living up to its royal title, the air-conditioned, glass-sided building is gorgeous (think water fountains, warm lighting and polished wooden floors) and well-managed, with free guided tours in several languages (English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese) provided.
In the gallery section of the Royal Selangor Visitor�s Centre you can find showcases displaying aspects of pewter craftsmanship, from the science and history of it, to its unique qualities and fantastic applications. Meanwhile, the factory (with over 250 skilled craftsmen hard at work) showcases the metalworking process, while the retail store houses the final product � ranging from pewter merchandise to silver and gold jewellery.

On the other hand, there are also highland theme parks where the whole family can enjoy rides in cool, crisp mountain air.
GENTING HIGHLANDS

Genting Highlands or 'City of Entertainment' is a perfect getaway destination for many Malaysians. The highlands are very popular with people that want to escape the hot and humid weather in Kuala Lumpur. Temperatures vary often around 16/24 degrees, which is quite cold for people from KL. There are a couple of massive hotels in Genting Highlands, where you can book a room for a very affordable price. Prices are this low because the only (legal land-based) casinos are located in Genting Highlands. You can compare it with a small version of Las Vegas. Apart from the casinos, you also have a huge theme park, which makes it a perfect destination for families with kids. The highlands are at about 1760 meters above sea level, from the top there is a gorgeous view of the valley in which Kuala Lumpur is situated.
There are three amusement parks in Genting Highlands; an outdoor amusement park, an indoor amusement park (together they form the biggest theme park in Malaysia) and a water park. Besides the main amusement parks there are also fun attractions like entertainment centers (video arcades), snooker, bowling, archery, a climbing wall and even a skydiving wind tunnel.

Shopping at First World Plaza

At the first floor of the huge complex you will find many shops selling all kinds of products. There are numerous trendy shops with clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories; there is even a Factory Outlet Store (F.O.S.). There also are a few restaurants, and of course the fast food places like Burger King, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and KFC. Among the coffee bars are Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Besides shopping you can find numerous other fun attractions within First World Plaza, including Genting Bowl, an archery, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Ohmega Forces (virtual shooting simulator), a Cineplex, Starworld casino and even a Snow World.3 Star hotel
