After your arrival at Nelspruit Airport (the closest airport to the lodge) you will be met by a representative from the Lodge at the airport for your land transfers to the Lodge. Later the evening enjoy your first 3 course dinner at the Lodge.

Rise early for your open air game drive in the world renowned Kruger National Park and experience South Africa at it's finest throughout the day. Keep a close eye out for the Big 5, lion, leopard , rhino, buffalo and elephant. Capture magical and memorable photographic moments in the open air vehicle with qualified game rangers. The game drive is approximately 6 -8 hours.

Rise early for your second open air day game drive in the Kruger National Park. Later the evening, relax and enjoy your 3 course dinner as you discuss the days viewing of the animals in their natural enviroment.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Nelspruit Airport for your onward flight to Johannesburg. On arrival at Johannesburg Airport, you will be met by a representative of Private Safaris for your transfer to your hotel in Pretoria for your overnight stay. After check in, relax and enjoy the day at your leisure.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Pretoria Train Station. On the Southbound journey, the train leaves Pretoria Train Station at 18h30pm and arrives in Cape Town at 10h30am.
16h00 - Register and check in at Pretoria Train Station. Guests enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks onboard.
18h00 - Boarding commences. Butlers usher guests to their suites. Suite orientation done by butlers. Boarding concludes at 18h15.
18h30 - Blue Train departs Pretoria (will depart earlier once all guests have checked-in).
19h30-21h00 - 1st sitting for dinner.
21h15-23h00 - 2nd sitting for dinner.

Remember, dinner is an elegant affairs - men are requested to wear a jacket and tie and ladies elegant evening wear.
Guests enjoy post-dinner drinks, Cognacs and Cuban cigars in the Club Car before retiring to bed.
06h00-09h00 - Breakfast is served on first-come-first-served basis.
OFF-THE-TRAIN-EXCURSION
(Weather and time permitting)
09h30 - Blue Train arrives at Kimberly Station. Guests disembark and gather at the Railway Museum, from where they will be ushered to a bus, which transfers them to the Kimberly Open Mine Museum.
10h00 - Guests arrive at the Open Mine Museum for a tour of the mine. Guests are first taken to view interesting and historial sites. Guests are also taken onto an enclosed ramp on the edge of the Big Hole.
12h30 - Guests depart from the Open Mine Museum for Kimberly Station. At Kimberly Station guests are greeted with a glass of sherry. The sherry glass engraved with The Blue Train logo is a memento for guests to keep. After this exciting tour, guests are welcome to refresh themselves and enjoy aperitifs before dinner.
13h00 - The Blue Train departs Kimberly Station for the journey Southbound to Cape Town.
13h00-14h15 - 1st sitting for lunch.
14h30-16h00 - 2nd sitting for lunch.
17h00 - High tea is served in the non-smoking Lounger Car.
19h30-21h00 - 1st sitting for dinner.
21h15-23h00 - 2nd sitting for dinner.

10h30 - The Blue Train arrives at Cape Town Station. Butlers usher guests to the Arrival Lounge.
You will be met at Cape Town Station by a representative of Private Safaris for the transfer to your hotel in Cape Town. After check in enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Today is your free day and at your leisure. You may choose to relax or visit the world renowned V&A Waterfront and explore the many shopping opportunities and enjoy the wide selection of restaurants. Optional wine route tour (for your own account) After breakfast, you will be transferred to Franschoek for your wine tram tour. A combination of tram and tram bus will transport you around a loop of seven stops allowing you to hop off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, may it be wine tasting a cellular tour or lunch. Later the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be collected at your hotel for a short tour of Afrogem (45minutes), one of the leading jewellery manufacturing companies in Cape Town. After the tour of Afrogem you will be transferred to the cable car station for the trip up the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for some exquisite views of Cape Town. The return journey from the cable car station to your hotel (+- 15 minutes) is for your own account. Taxis are available at a cost of approximately AUD15.

Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour –Bring your camera – we are heading for Cape Point at the south western tip of the Cape Peninsula with the most spectacular views in the world. The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic Coast, passing through Camps Bay and the fishing village of Hout Bay. The trip continues to Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising of 17,300 acres of indigenous flora and fauna. Here you can see a variety of wildlife which includes baboons, rheebok and the elusive eland.Witness the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. On route back to your hotel we also visit the penguin colony at the Boulders Beach (entry for your own account). The last stop is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a short walk through the beautiful gardens.
