Fed from northern slope of Annapurna Himal, Marshyandi River flows east through arid valley, Manang and descends south to join Trishuli at Mungling. Marshyandgi, in local dialects, means raging river and aptly describes one of whitewater system in the world.

Marshyangdi River Rafting is one of steepest river journey with the great combination of marvelous view, stunning nature and cultural village to make it fascinating river sport in Nepal. This ultimate river voyage serves unrivalled scenery as it winds though the foothill of Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Annapurna via verdant forest and traditional villages. It is one of best class 4 kayaking river in the world with exhilarating whitewater, great canyon, impressive gorge and magnificent mountain backdrops. This solid whitewater is adventurous trip recommended for expert kayakers and rafters.

For Marshyangdi River Rafting, previous rafting experience is not required however it is always helpful. What is required is the great teamwork, full contribution and adrenaline spirit. Recently opened commercial rafting in Nepal (many rapids yet to get its name and class), Marshyangdi is next generation river sport in Nepal with great amalgamation of steeper section and continues stretch of rapids.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kathmandu - Beshishar - Khudi

  Make an eight hours drive to Besishar from Kathmandu and then to Khudi to set up the camp. After arrival at Khudi, we unload the gear and our tour guide will show you up with porter carrying expedition gear to our camp at Khudi. Rest overnight at camp.
• Day 2 : Launch Rafting from Khudi

  Today launch your adventurous rafting from Khudi along Marshyangdi River. Enjoy 5 hours of rafting (Grade IV/V) and halt at your camping spot for overnight stay.
• Day 3 : Raft Down to Paundi Via Marshyangdi Hydro Electric Dam

  Raft down to Marshyangdi Hydro Electric Dam and continue rafting till you reach Paundi where you stay overnight.
• Day 4 : Raft to Dumre

  This day, you will continue your yesterday’s rafting. After 3 hours of adventurous river voyage, you will arrive at the concluding point nearby Dumre. You can either drive back to Kathmandu or extend your trip and raft further to Chitwan National Park or Pokhara.
