Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati – Shillong (90 kms, 3hrs)

  Start the journey with your arrival at the Guwahati Airport / Jhalukbari / Khanapara, get greeted and straight away get transferred to Shillong. It takes around 3 hours to reach this gorgeous hill station, Shillong. On the way, drop by the Borapani Lake in the state of Meghalaya, also known as the Umiam lake, it is beautifully surrounded by Sylvan hills. After that check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure and later retire for the night.

• Day 2 : Shillong – Dawki via Jowai (107 Kms, 3 hrs)

  Early morning after breakfast we will depart for Jowai. First visit the Phi Phi waterfall which is another gem of Meghalaya. It is the two-tier waterfall, and it has got its name from the Jaintia word that translates into Paradise. Then visit the Krang Suri Falls, a spectacular waterfall that provides an amazing bird's eye view of the entire location. No nature lover and adventure enthusiast can afford to miss this breath-taking milky white waterfall which is a tourist's delight. This entire region is studded with visuals that take ones breath away. Then head for Dawki and check in at the Camping site/hotel.

• Day 3 : Dawki/Mawlynnong – Cherrapuni (80 Kms, 3Hrs)

  In the morning after breakfast get ready to do some thrilling activities like Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Zip lining. Post lunch head for Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. Visit the Living Root Bridge in the nearby village of Rawai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. From Mawlynnong one can see the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Then head for Cherrapunji. Check in the hotel and retire for the night.

• Day 4 : Double Decker Root Bridge Trek

  Double Decker Root Bridge, Maghalaya’s most famous root bridge can be found in the vicinity of the wettest place Cherrapunji. Today we will trek down to one of the miraculous place in Meghalaya, the Living Root Bridge. The bridge is situated downhill to the Village, Umshiang and can only be reached by walking down the hill. Though the journey to the bridge is exhausting but it’s worth it when you reach the place. It will take us 4-5 five hours to take round trip of the bridge. Then you can proceed to visit the natures beautiful creation called Rainbow Falls. It is a natural pool where one can swim. After the determined journey we will head back to our hotel.

• Day 5 : Cherrapunji - Shillong (65 kms, 2hrs)

  After breakfast we will do the local sightseeing of Cherrapunji, well known for receiving one of the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee is locally known as Sohra. Then on the way we visit the Nohsngithiang falls (Seven sister falls) which is known to be the symbol of the Unity of the Seven States of North East India. Then visit the Dainthlen Waterfalls, Natural rock carvings of the episode draw visitors to see the image of the Thlen, the symbol of greed, corruption and evil. Then visit the Wei Sawdong falls. The name ‘Wei Sawdong’ implies a round lagoon. The clear waters cascades down into a beautiful three step lagoon. This falls is enclosed within a thicket of green forest. After that visit the Nohkalikai Falls which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet (340 metres). Later than we visit the Mawsmai cave, a major crowd puller that leaves tourists spellbound. Then head for Shillong, on the way is the Mawkdok Valley which is a very prominent sightseeing for tourists.

  In the morning after the breakfast we will visit The Laitlum Canyons, nestled in the embrace of majestic hills and valleys, in one such spot from where the vast, verdant and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya could be viewed and admired. Then depart for guwahati where we will drop you at the Guwahati Airport/ Jhalukbari / Khanapara where our journey comes to an end.
