Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival - Guwahati

  Today you will arrive at Guwahati city. Our representative will meet and greet you on arrival, transfer directly to Shillong. En-route Borapani Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Arrive at Shillong, check in at your hotel. After taking some rest , explore the Shillong city,The Capital of Meghalaya, it is one of the major tourist destinations in North East India. The British loved this place so much that they had established it as the Capital for Eastern Bengal and Assam. For its climate and unique topographical features the British referred to Shillong as the “Scotland Of The East”. Visit Elephant Falls, Wards Lake, Polo Ground one of the best in the country. Shopping at local bazaar. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at Shillong.
• Day 2 : Shillong - Mawlynnong - Cherrapunji

  After early morning breakfast, Proceed to Mawlynnong Village, the village has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India as well as Asia. It is situated about 90 kms. from Shillong. Mawlynnong nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya, is along the Indo-Bangla border. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. The main occupation of the villagers is agriculture. They mostly grow betel nut. About 82 households live in Mawlynnong. Keeping the surrounding environment clean is an age old tradition. ‘Discover India’ magazine declared the village as the cleanest in Asia in 2003 and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living roots bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. After sightseeing the site drive to Cherrapunjee. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
• Day 3 : Cherrapunji – Mawsynram

  Today after breakfast leave for Mawsynram. It is situated approx. 15 kilometers from Cherrpunjee. Mawsynram experiences an annual rainfall of 11.872 meters (about 39 feet). The major attraction in Mawsynram is a cave named Mawjymbuin. There is a massive stalagmite shaped into a Shiva linga inside the cave. Mawlongbna is a example of place that has been blessed by mother nature. Visit fossil park, explore the village, waterfalls, on thw way back to Shillong you can explore the important places of Cherrapunjee, the wettest place in the world. The beautiful waterfall-Noh-ka-likai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore some of the caves in and around Cherrapunjee. After sightseeing the site drive to Shillong en route visit RamKrishan Mission. Overnight at Shillong.
• Day 4 : Shillong

  Today, you have a program for fuul day sightseeing of Shillong, the Capital of Meghalaya, it is one of the major tourist destinations in North East India. The British loved this place so much that they had established it as the Capital for Eastern Bengal and Assam. For its climate and unique topographical features the British referred to Shillong as the “Scotland Of The East”. Today you will explore this beautiful hill city. Visit Elephant Falls, Wards Lake, Polo Ground one of the best in the country. Shopping at local bazaar. Return back to the hotel. Overnight at Shillong.
• Day 5 : Shillong - Guwahati

  After breakfast drive to Guwahti, the Gatway of North East, upon arrival at Guwahati , drive to Nilachal Hill where Maa Kamakhya temple is situated, after that proceed to the site of Umandanda temple, it is a tiny island situated in the river Brahmaputra, local country boat or govt. ferry will be available from ghat to reach their after darshan the temple return by ferry/ country boat (engine operated) to the main land of the city,then after taking lunch drive to Navagraha Temple after visit the temple proceed to Vashistha Ashram, the Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra commonly Kalakshetra is a cultural institution in the heart of the city, named after the medieval poet-playwright and reformer Srimanta Sankardev. It includes a cultural museum, library and variousfacilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items, besides a children's park. In addition to being Northeast India's largest cultural congregation, where Assamese history and culture presents through Light and sound show. After that drive to the Brahmaputra River front at Guwahati, where you will take Sunset river cruise in the river, reporting time at 0430 pm, to take the view of one of the most mesmerizing beauty of the river Brahmaputra. It will be an hour long activity. Transfer to the hotel, check in and overnight at Guwahati.

• Day 6 : Departure - Guwahati

  Today you have a flight for onward connection, after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport to catch the flight for onward connection.
