On arrival in Casablanca, you will be transferred to Fez, the oldest Imperial capital and the most complete medieval city of the Arab world. Rest of the day at leisure. A trip to a Hammam would be the perfect way to experience Moroccan culture, and combat jet lag!
Entering one of Fez’s fourteen gates is like stepping back a thousand years into a maze of winding streets lined with tiny workshops of 30,000 craftsmen. Visit the Karaouine Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world, and the 14th-century Medersa Bou Inania. At Dar Batha Museum, see the finest examples of local arts and crafts. Explore Merinides Tombs for an overview of the old city.
Drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco and residence of the King. Visit the Kasbah des Oudaias and stroll through Rabat’s maze of streets, where modern and ancient structures reside side-by-side. In the heart of the city stands the Tour Hassan, the last vestige of an unfinished mosque.This afternoon drive to Marrakech, the most well-known Imperial City.
Today visit Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Palais Badii. Visit the Jardin Majorelle and the Islamic Museum: The Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech are one of the most visited sites in Morocco. Explore the souks , the handicraft quarter and the famous place Djemaa El Fna with its non-stop entertainment.
Head to the Atlas Mountains on a scenic drive to discover small Berber villages such as Imlil, a small village in a stunning valley where you may opt for a walk through some of the most beautiful scenery Morocco has to offer. Take tea in a Berber home and enjoy the wonderful natural hospitality of these welcoming people. (B, Tea)
Drive up the coast from Marrakech to Casblanca, and architecturally rich city, with a blend of French-colonial design and traditional Moroccan style. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the Mythical Rick’s Café.
