The State of Sikkim is inhabited by peoples following different religions. Once upon a time majority of the people where Buddhists. The monasteries or the Gumpas are very important n the life of a Buddhist. Rumtek monastery, a replica of Tsurphu monastery of Tibet, is the biggest monastery of Sikkim. Tsomgo Lake, literally means “Source of the Lake” in the Bhutea language. It is located of 3780 mtrs, 1 km long, oval in shape, 15 mtrs deep and is considered sacred. Open both to the Indians and foreigners it is an ideal habitat of the red panda and various of Birds.
Darjeeling has derived its name from Dhor-Je Ling, the Place of Vajra, an erstwhile Buddhist monastery situated at the Observatory established for the propagation of the mystic system of Vajrayana Buddhism. The most commanding view of the Divine Khanchendzonga seated on the throne of the dark blue forests, the lush green tea gardens down the valleys, the mellow red glow of the rising sun forming into different shapes and sizes cast a magic spell on the on lookers.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri - Gangtok

  On arrival at the Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (on your own), and drive to Gangtok on arrival you will check in to your Hotel. Rest of the day at Leisure for Shopping.
• Day 2 : Gangtok

  10 points sight seeing. Evening free to enjoy the beauty of Gangtok. Night stay at Gangtok.
• Day 3 : Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake - Babamandir - Gangtok

  Today take a beautiful drive to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. Back to Hotel in the evening. Night stay at Gangtok.
• Day 4 : Gangtok - Darjeeling

  Gangtok to Darjeeling car transfer. Night stay at Darjeeling. Evening visit to Mall and Shopping.
• Day 5 : Darjeeling

  This Morning (around 4 AM), you will drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the fabulous views of the famous Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,208 Feet) (subject to clear weather conditions). Later visit Ghoom Monastery and other places of interest. The evening at Leisure.
• Day 6 : Darjeeling - Mrik - Bagdogra/Newjalpaiguri

  Take the drive from Darjeeling to Mrik in a road nested in natural beauties. Mirik local sight seeing. Drop to Newjalpaiguri or Bagdogra. Bid farewell to the Mountain and Tea Garden. Proceed to ur onward journey.
