Mt Sabalan Trek & Climb

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Tehran

  Check-in to your hotel and meet in the afternoon to prepare for the next day’s departure for Iran’s second highest peak of Mt Sabalan.

  • Meals & Drinks : Dinner

• Day 2 : Ardabil / Shabil (2683m)

  After breakfast depart for Mehrabad Domestic Airport for a short flight to the historic city of Ardabil where we drive to the hot spring village of Shabil for the night.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch

• Day 3 : Mount Sabalan Shelter (3548m)

  The climb starts in the morning going past Ghotour Soei and Shirvan Dareh up to the shelter where we spend the night. The rest of the day is used to acclimatise to the altitude.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 4 : Sabalan Peak (4811) / Mount Sabalan Shelter

  The day is spent climbing to the peak, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery surrounding this large dormant volcano. We return in the afternoon back to the Mount Sabalan shelter for the night.

  • Themes : Mountaineering
  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 5 : Shabil Hotsprings / Ardabil / Tehran –

  On our way down in the morning we stop at one of the numerous hotsprings before returning to Ardabil for an evening flight back to Tehran.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 6 : Tehran and Depart

  After breakfast you are free to depart anytime.
  
  Note: For experienced climbers the Mt Sabalan ascent can be made in a shorter period a time eliminating the need to overnight at the Mount Sabalan Shelter.
