The main temple of Muktinath is a pagoda style temple Dedicated to Lord Vishnu that symbolizes the religious symbiosis between Hindu and Buddhists. The temple is also abode by the metal statues of the Hindu goddess Laxmi, Saraswoti, Janaki, Garuda, Lava- Kush and Sapta Rishis. The pilgrimage site of Muktinath is said to have appeared on its own. The shrine is one of eight such shrines of which seven other are Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Tirupati, Naimisaranyam, Thottadri, Pushkaram and Badrinath. This famous pilgrimage site lies at the gateway to mustang from Manang in Annapurna circuit at an altitude of (3800m.) from the sea level.

You can either take a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and walk from Jomsom to Muktinath via Kagbeni and Jharkot or drive from Pokhara to Jomsom and trek to Muktinath or fly via helicopter from Kathmandu to Muktinath which will take 1 and half hour.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Arrival service from Kathmandu Airport & transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel

• Day 2 : Pokhara

  Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). You depart early for the 5 hours drive by car to Pokhara (915m.), 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu, over night at Pokhara hotel

• Day 3 : Jomsom

  Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (2713 m.) (06:00 Am) about 20 minute after having (or pack) breakfast at hotel/Jomsom and Jeep drive to Muktinath via Kagbeni (2895 m.) for about one and half hours, praise in Muktinath temple and jeep drive back to Jomsom for overnight At Hotel

• Day 4 : Departure

  Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (06:30 Am) which takes about 20 minutes. The flights are available during the morning time. The strong breeze blows during the day and after frequent change of the weather prevents the flight being landed and taken off in the afternoon. During the flights in the morning, the sky looks very clear which makes you able to enjoy the splendid views of different mountain peaks.
