Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Mumbai

  You’ll be welcomed and extended assistance on your arrival at the Mumbai airport. You’ll be provided with the drop facility to the city hotel.
• Day 2 : Mumbai

  Relax in the morning and get yourself adjusted to the local time zone. Start in the afternoon for a city tour comprising of the famous Gateway of India, Crawford market, Prince of Wales Museum and the Dhobi Ghat. The Gateway of India was built to honor the India visit by the King George V. Glimpses of West India remain incomplete without your visit to the business capital of the country.

• Day 3 : Mumbai – Ahmedabad

  Catch the morning flight to Ahmedabad, transport will be provided from the hotel to the airport. On arrival at the airport you’ll be provided with the transport facility to be dropped to the hotel. In the afternoon take the city tour. The walled city has rich arts and crafts heritage. The fine museums in the city include the Calico museum dedicated to textile. This is considered among the worlds’ finest. The tour includes visit to few of the well known ancient Jain temples made of wood and exquisite minarets, Jumma Masjid, as well as buildings that serve as evidence of contemporary architectural designs.

• Day 4 : Ahmedabad – Wankaner

  You’ll be transported to the airport, for the flight to Rajkot. After you arrive in Rajkot, drive down to Wankaner. In the afternoon take the city tour and visit the magnificent Ranjit Vilas Palace built in 1907.

• Day 5 : Wankaner – Gir

  Set out early for the Sasan Gir Forest for some exciting game viewing. Gir forest is the only natural habitat of the majestic Asian Lions, leopard, monkeys, deer, hyena, and peacocks as well as teak and deciduous woods.
• Day 6 : Gir

  Enjoy a day filled with the excitement and thrill of game viewing at the Gir.
• Day 7 : Gir – Palitana

  Drive down to Palitana from Gir in the morning. Enjoy the afternoon city tour in the sun bathed Palitana. It serves as a gateway to the Place of Victory called the Shatrunjaya. Jains consider it to be one of the holiest pilgrim places their religion. At the 2 km. altitude, you’ll find as many as 863 different Jain temples that were built spanning 900 years. Sri Adhiswara was the founder of Jainism and the first Tirthankara. The most significant temple here is dedicated to him. Angar Pi, a Muslim shrine is also close by. Women without a child offer miniature cradles in the hope of motherhood.
• Day 8 : Palitana – Bhavnagar

  Take the daylight drive to Bhavnagar. After arrival, check in at the hotel. The city tour in the afternoon will make you familiar with the place. Once upon a time Bhavnagar happened to be a Princely State. It was founded way back in 1743. Currently it is a port of significance in Khambat. Bhavnagar is famed for its holy Shatrunjaya Hills, hilltop Takhteswar temple and the Gaurshankar lake.
• Day 9 : Depart Mumbai

  Glimpses of West India tour comes to a full circle as you catch the morning flight to Mumbai. You’ll be provided with transport to the airport in the morning.
