Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Mumbai

  On your arrival at Mumbai, whether at the airport or station, you’ll be received and given a transport to the hotel. After you check in, give yourself time to unwind. Mumbai is the commercial capital of the country and has a rhythm of its own. The Marine drive, the fast life the people lead, the glamour and glitz of the tinsel town and many such attributes give the city its unique character. The residents seem to be in love with the city and this feeling is infectious. An overnight stay in the city hotel will help you get the feel of the place.

• Day 2 : Mumbai - Aurangabad

  Have your breakfast in the hotel or during your flight to Aurangabad. Chill out in the morning sun or stay back in the hotel and relax. You’ll be provided with the transport to the airport for your flight. After you reach Aurangabad, check in at the hotel. This is your first night in Aurangabad. Prepare yourself for an enriching Ajanta and Ellora Tour.
• Day 3 : Aurangabad

  Have a full filling breakfast at the hotel and you are all set for a whole day sightseeing and the excursion to the world famous Ajanta caves. In 1819, a team of English army officers discovered these marvelous caves. It took nearly 600 years to craft these caves. Situated in one of the inner folds of Sahyadri hills, around 100 km. away from Aurangabad, Ajanta caves are found in a gigantic horse shoe shape. The caves are cut out of as many as thirty rocks. These are there from as early as 2nd century BC. These are marvel of craftsmanship, created using only basic tools like the chisel and hammer. Ajanta at one time was the refuge of monastic order of Buddhist, has numerous chapels (chaityas) and monasteries (viharas). Get back to Aurangabad and relax. This is your second night in Aurangabad.
• Day 4 : Aurangabad

  After breakfast at the hotel, head for the Ellora caves, Aurangabad caves and the Daulatabad Fort.
  Ellora is famous for its rock hewn monasteries and temples. This is merely 30 km far from the city of Aurangabad. There are 12 Buddhist caves (Mahayana) (550 AD – 750 AD), cave temples number 34, Number of Hindu caves 17 which date back to 600 AD – 875 AD. 5 caves (800 AD – 1000 AD) are dedicated to the Jain faith. The 22 caves that are offered to Lord Shiva are discovered in recent times. The most remarkable of all these is cave 16, the Kailash cave.
  Aurangabad caves are situated right in the outskirts of the city. These were exhumed in a period between 2nd century AD and the 6th century AD. These bear the testimony of the TANTRIC impact in the region. This is evident in the architectural model and iconography. The nine caves there are primarily monasteries (viharas). This is the third and the last night in the ethnic city of Aurangabad.

• Day 5 : Aurangabad – Mumbai

  Ajanta and Ellora Tour is not yet over. Complete your breakfast at the hotel or in your flight to Mumbai. Check in at the Mumbai Hotel. Go on for yet another revealing tour to the ELEPHANTA CAVES. Have a mini city tour on your way back. Stay for the night at the city hotel.

• Day 6 : Mumbai – Home

  After breakfast at the hotel, avail of the transport to the international airport to catch home bound flight.
