Day 1 : Munich
Welcome to Munich. Munich, the charming capital of Bavaria, is mainly famous for its beer festival (Oktoberfest), celebrated each year at the end of September. But the city is worth a visit all year round - its exuberant atmosphere and vitality make Munich one of Europe’s great cultural centres.
A bus transfer to your hotel is arranged.

Day 2 : Munich
Start your day with a panoramic city tour of Munich by bus and walking. Your private local guide will show you around. Discover Munich’s highlights Marien Square, the Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace. You continue your tour to the ancient part of town, where not only the medieval town gates and the colourful open air market “Viktualienmarkt” await you, but you will also see the world-famous Hofbräuhaus.
Later you visit the most famous street of Munich, the elegant Maximilian Street, which offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. On your way, you will pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (“Feldherrnhalle”), and House of Arts, Bavarian National Museum, the Angel of Peace and much more.
After the city tour you can enjoy the city on your own. Why not end your day with a guided visit of Nymphenburg palace? It is the impressive baroque palace and royal summer residence situated in a beautiful park, with the massive great hall decorated in Rococo style and the famous “Gallery of beauties” painted for King Ludwig I.

Day 3 : Royal Palaces Neuschwanstein & Linderhof
Your third day in Munich is designated to visit two of the most opulent castles of Europe, built by Ludwig II., the fairytale king of Bavaria. On your way into the so-called “cleric” Pfaffenwinkel, you make a brief stop at Wieskirche, an amazing realisation of Bavarian Rococo art. You then continue to Neuschwanstein, where you will discover the famous fairytale castle, built on an imposing rock in the seclusion of the mountains, with a guided tour. You further visit Linderhof, the king’s favourite castle, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Day 4 : Munich - Salzburg
After breakfast you continue the trip to Salzburg, the birthplace of one of the most famous composers of all times, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Discover this beautiful city during a local guided tour of 4 hours. You start your visit at Hellbrunn Palace (known as the famous location from the movie “The sound of music”). The tour then proceeds to the stunningly beautiful old parts of the city, which were proclaimed a UNESCO world heritage site in 1996. Enjoy the baroque architecture of the Mirabell palace and its beautiful gardens, admire the Salzburg dome and visit the famous “Getreidegasse” with Mozart’s birthplace.

Day 5 : Salzburg - Vienna
In the morning, you will enjoy a visit of Hohensalzburg fortress, the biggest fully preserved medieval fortress of Europe. Later the journey continues in direction to Vienna. On the way to Vienna you make a short stop in the beautiful Wachau valley where you visit Melk Abbey, a Benedictine Abbey built in the 18th century on a unique sport on a rock overlooking the valley and the river Danube.
In the afternoon you arrive at your hotel in Vienna, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Day 6 : Vienna
Today your local guide meets you for a panoramic city tour by bus to some of the most popular sights of Vienna like the Prater with its famous Ferris Wheel, river Danube or the colourful Hundertwasser house. You will also pass State Opera House, Natural History Museum, Burgtheater as well as City Hall.
Today’s highlight is a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, the famous former residence of the Austrian emperors and the biggest castle in Austria. Enjoy the stunning architecture of one of the most visited sites in the country and the beautiful gardens with its fountains and flower beds. On the way back you will pass the former royal residence Belvedere Palace, which today houses the largest collection of Gustav Klimt paintings worldwide.
The afternoon activities are all up to you. You can spend this time with everything that you would like to do!

Day 7 : Vienna
Today meet your guide for a walking tour of 1,5 - 2 hours right in the heart of Vienna. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful old town of Vienna, also proclaimed UNESCO world heritage. You will gain a good overview of the major sights in the old town like for example St. Stephans cathedral, the impressive national treasure and landmark of Vienna or the Anker clock, a well conserved Art Nouveau piece. The stroll ends at the stunning Hofburg Palace, the former Imperial Palace in the centre of the city and today’s official residence of the president of Austria, with its beautiful park surroundings. Take your time and discover Hofburg Palace on your own with audioguide, your ticket gives you access to the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection.
Because Vienna has so much to offer, this afternoon is also free for your own plans.
In the evening it’s time for a fare well dinner at one of the typical restaurants in Vienna such as restaurant Figlmüller and enjoy local specialties.

Day 8 : Departure Day
It s time to say good bye to Vienna! Transfer from your hotel to Vienna airport or train station for departure.
