Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin - Munnar

  On arrive Cochin. On arrival, you will meet a our representative And proceed for Munnar. On the way to Munnar, halt at some good restaurant where lunch will be served (On own basis). Check-in to your hotel in the evening, unpack and relax. Spend some time in the local markets for shopping and enjoy the evening at your own leisure. Return to your hotel for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay

• Day 2 : Munnar

  After breakfast at the hotel, take a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Munnar is famous for its tea plantations. Visit the beautiful serenity of the tea plantations (remains closed on Mondays). Also visit Eravikulam National Park and explore its rich flora and fauna (Eravikulam National Park is shut from 15 Jan to 15 Mar; during these dates Park visit cannot be done but all other sightseeing shall be provided as per itinerary). Relish the local food at a good restaurant. Later in the afternoon, visit Mattupetty Lake and Dam. Enjoy the echo phenomenon at the famous Echo Point. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your own leisure. Have a warm, hearty dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your room.

• Day 3 : Munnar - Thekkady (110 kilometers in approximately 4 hours)

  After early breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and have lunch (on your own). In the afternoon, proceed for a soul soothing boat cruise through the backwaters near Thekkady. Thekkady is known for its Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. During your cruise, stopover at this fascinating town and observe the wild animals in their natural habitat. Later in the evening, visit the theatre and enjoy the traditional Kathakali Show (in a non-air-conditioned theatre). Indulge in shopping, take a tour around the Spice Plantations or enjoy an elephant ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening. Return to your hotel in the evening. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel after a hearty dinner.

• Day 4 : Thekkady - Alleppey(By Road: 160kms/4.5hrs)

  After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Thekkady. Explore the Spice Plantation (which will last for an hour). Later, you may indulge into some spice shopping (on direct payment basis). Drive to Alleppey and reach there by afternoon. On arrival, check-in at the hotel, unpack and relax. Later in the evening, go for an evening boat cruise on the backwaters for an hour. Return to the hotel. You can opt for a traditional Ayurveda massage. Relish a warm dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your room.

• Day 5 : Alleppey - Kumarakom

  After a delicious early breakfast, check out of the hotel in Thekkady and go for a memorable hour-long spice plantation tour. Later, shop for spices (on direct payment basis) and then proceed to Kumarakom. Check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Later, go for a relaxing hour-long evening boat cruise on the backwaters. Return to the hotel for dinner and enjoy an overnight stay. You can also opt for a traditional Ayurveda massage at the hotel.

• Day 6 : Kumarakom

  After breakfast visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary located in the shore of back waters with many varieties of birds and other small specious. later drive to Alleppey; also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 12 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines and an overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 7 : Departure from Kumarakom

  After breakfast check out hotel transfers to Cochin airport to board your return journey.
