Itinerary : Pick up 8.00 a.m. The city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. This is one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, and the only mosque open to non-Muslims and expatriate in Oman. Later we drive along the picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. You will stroll through the Souq, where you will have the chance to buy Omani specialties like Frankincense, Omani daggers. You can also try your hand at bargaining for beautiful silver handicrafts and scarves. Your guide will be on hand to help you reach the best price. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships on the water at Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port. You will then visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. The Museum tour will provide you with a wealth of information about the country’s structure, tradition and heritage. Then it will be time to have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, The Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. From the Palace, you will travel to the majestic view point of Gulf of Oman for a photo stop in the Qantab region. Then head back to the Hotel.
Itinerary : Pick up 8.30 a.m. You will be picked up from your hotel in an air conditioned vehicle and transported to the cultural capital of Oman, Nizwa. Once you have reached Nizwa you will visit the spectacular Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. After an informative tour of the fort you will next visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. Especially interesting is the Friday cattle market, when the locals from the nearby Villages come to sell their donkeys, goats, cattle, sheep and chickens in a circus style open market place. After completing a little shopping in the Souq You will continue with your journey to Jabreen Palace/Castle where you will be able to capture the medieval atmosphere and view the beautiful hand painted ceilings and carved door frames. After our last photo stop will be Bahla fort, Bahla Fort is one of four historic fortresses situated at the foot of the Jebel Akhdar highlands in Oman. Lunch will be served en route. You will now journey back to Muscat City and end your tour.
