Package Overview

Detail
Mustang trek along with Upper Dolpo Trek is the most adventurous, rewarding and exciting trip that you will ever be. Our trek takes us through a region north of the Himalayan Crest called the Dolpo District. Dolpo region is situated between the Tibetan plateau and the Dhaulagiri ranges. Our trek will proceed the regular routes and traverse over to the once “Forbidden” Kingdom of Mustang which is going to be famous Great Himalaya Trail soon. This is a strenuous trek that takes us over nine high passes, including a pass over 18,000.

The Marsyangdi River lies to the east and to the west lies the world’s deepest gorge, carved out by the wild waters of the Kaligandaki. You can see lots of diversity in this region, for example; entire hillsides swiped with pink and red rhododendron forests bursting with birdsong which is matched by its unbelievable cultural diversity. Ethnic trails will take you right into the homes of Gurungs in the lowlands where you can enjoy the hospitality of Thakalis around Jomsom, Manangis in the east and Loba and Tibetans in the north. Annapurna has been extremely popular with tourists and trekkers over the years and the new roads have actually opened up previously inaccessible areas. The Hidden Land of Dolpois one of the highest inhabited places on earth, with scattered villages and monasteries nestling among mountains of plain ascetic beauty. On the way to Upper Dolpo via Mustang you will see the valley which is quite sensational, affording a breathtaking view of the waterfall. This region is full of some of Nepal’s oldest and traditional Buddhist Monasteries, ancient and isolated villages with old-fashioned white washed houses.
During the Mustang to Upper Dolpo Trek, you will see the variety of plants and wildlife, including the blue sheep and leopard. This trek is an experience that is not easily forgotten.
