Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, a gleaming gold spire that towers above the city. Its relics of past Buddhas make this the most sacred of Burmese pagodas. Then onto the National Museum for an orientation to this mystical country.
Explore the Shwezigon Paya Pagoda, built in 1090. Visit the Gubyaukhyi Temple at Wetkyi-Inn, built in the early 13th century, to see the colorful painting about the early life of Buddha; and then see the Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba.
