We begin the trek at the Khmu village of Ban Jaluensouk. From here the trail leads up to the ridge line. We follow the trail along and pass through the forest which is in various stages of regeneration as well as some upland rice paddies. The guide will tell you how we are working with the villagers to help conserve and regenerate the forest. We will meet some of the villagers along the trail as they go to and from the market. As we continue onwards we descend from the ridge down to the village of Ban Nalan Tai which sits on the banks of the Nam Ha river. From here we continue onwards to either Ban Nam Goy or Ban Nalan Tai, alternating from trip to trip in order to share the benefits the villages receive. If staying in Ban Nalan Tai we will walk onwards for further 40 minutes.
