Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive

  On your arrival at Windhoek International airport, you will be met by your guide. From here you depart via Windhoek to Okonjima in the Otjiwarongo area - Okonjima Plains camp for two nights. Dinner included.
  
  
  
  Plains (Main) Camp was the original Hanssen-family farmhouse, reconstructed as a lodge in 1993. Okonjima Main Camp was renamed to Okonjima's Plains Camp from January 2014. One of Okonjima unquivocal highlights are the chance to see the cheetah and leopard big cats in their natural environment. They offer 14 luxury rooms, elegant standard rooms overlooking a water-hole and open savanna grass-plain, therefore providing a unique bush experience for all our guests.

• Day 2 : Sightseeing

  Today, your camp guide will join you for some unique activities within the reserve. An example is to join the Bushman Trail which constitutes an easy walking trail and is highly informative. You get to learn about the art of making traditional artefacts and how the San adapt and survive in an unforgiving wilderness environment. Participation is welcomed! Guests are also invited to participate on foot in the radio-tracking of the rehabilitated spotted hyaenas on the Large Carnivore Tracking Trail. These rehabilitated carnivores roam freely and catch their own prey within the 20 000 ha private, Okonjima Nature Reserve.
  
  
  
  This evening, enjoy a guided night game drive in the Nature Reserve to spot cheetahs and leopards when they are their most active and on the hunt for prey.

• Day 3 : Sightseeing

  Depart with your guide from the Okonjima Nature Reserve to the famous Etosha National Park. On arrival, check-in to your lodge for the next 2 nights. Once you are settled in, head out on your first game drive in the park.
  
  
  
  Etosha National Park is Namibia's premiere game viewing experience, situated in the northwest of Namibia and is an are well known for its wildlife. Vegetation ranges from dense bush to open plains attracting a diversity of wildlife. In the heart of the park is The Etosha Pan - a shallow depression that covers an area of 5000sq kilometres. Dry and shimmering for most of the year, the pans fill up with water after good rains to a depth whch is seldom deeper than 1m. In the dry season, wildlife is attracted to perennial springs and waterholes that makes for excellent game viewing.

• Day 4 : An Incredible day in Etosha National Park

  An incredible day in Etosha National Park awaits you. After an early breakfast, guests have the choice of embarking on a full open air gamedrive (8-9 hours). Alternatively, you may wish to break your day into an AM or PM game drives, the choice is yours.
  
  
  
  Etosha National Park is Namibia's premiere game viewing experience, situated in the northwest of Namibia and is an area well known for it's wildlife. The abundance of game in Etosha National Park is somewhat unexpected, showcasing some of the most common and rarest wildlife species. The areas with thicker vegetation are home to elephant (some of the largest in Africa due to the vitamins and nutrients found in the ground), the endangered black rhino and even leopard. Lions are camouflaged in the pale-golden colour of the grasslands, while giraffes rise high above most of the dry vegetation.

  Today marks the end of your visit to Namibia. After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight home.
