Some of those Africans left an indelible stamp on the village's unique and intriguing history. Most notable was Elijah Morris who lead the largest slave revolt in the United States history in 1841.

Finally, full of history, you will arrive at Saunders beach for a little swim and relaxation. Plenty of time to relax before redirecting your attention to lunch, which is part of your excursion. Heading back towards town, you arrive at the oldest known Bahamian owned restaurants for a luscious local lunch with a beverage.
