Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT KATHMANDU, NEPAL
As soon as you reach the Kathmandu airport, our delegates would be there to receive you at the airport. Thereafter, they will ensure that you reach your pre-ordained hotel safe and sound and when you munch on a delicious lunch, one of our representative/guide will escort you towards the familiarization walk in the evening. During the walk, we customarily brief our guests about the itinerary of the coming days and also make sure that they have their kits ready when it comes to trekking. After you take a stroll in the Old Kathmandu Valley, you will be served with some delectable dinner.
Day 2 : THE KATHMANDU SPREE
Since, it is the capital city of Nepal, it is quite understood that your first day of the six would be at Kathmandu only. We promise you that the trip would be fun, yet informative too. Walking down the Kathmandu streets act as the first interaction of yours with the Nepalese culture. Once you are finished with your breakfast, your tour guide would be introduced to you. And thereafter, he will escort you to every heritage site in Kathmandu and will also make sure that you do not miss out on any location and he will keep you updated with the history and significance of the site too. Your first visit in Kathmandu would be to the world-famed Pashupatinath Temple which has a majestic sculpture of Lord Pashupatinath which will surely leave you in awe. The intricate symmetry and the faultless carvings of the temple are the example of great craftsmanship. Thereafter, a short visit to the historic Swayambhunath Stupa would be on the cards. The temple is also known as the Monkey Temple in English. Legend has it that the idol of Lord Hanuman got figured out of land without any human labour. Next halt will come at the Kathmandu Durbar Square which is actually the court yard of the Nepalese Royal Family palace. You would call it a day at the Durbar Square and will then return to the hotel where you will have some delicious dinner followed by a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3 : ROMP TIME AT POKHARA
If you are visiting Nepal, then a trip to Pokhara is a must because Pokhara is synonymous to every fun and adventure activity in Nepal. Pokhara is an about 6-7 hrs. drive from Kathmandu. Since it is the ecological pivot of Nepal, therefore, there is abundance of scenic beauty amidst the hills which gives you ample opportunities to have fun. The reason for such a blessed topography is that Pokhara is located at the bases of Mount Annapurna and it also happens to be the first camping sport for the Annapurna trekkers. Thereafter, you will be driven to the Davis Falls, which is waterfall named after a Swiss couple which got washed away in 1981. You will be taken to the Gupteshwar Cave which houses a self-created statue of Lord Shiva. The cave has a mystique aura of the mundane. Apart from that Pokhara is all about fun. You can visit Sarangkot and can even go for boating and play some fun games. Though, a short visit to the International Mountain Museum and to the World Peace Pagoda would also be on the cards. Next would be a short visit to the nearby Tibetan Refugee Camp which will give a totally different sight of Tibetan lifestyle. They have their handloom workshops and also make their own jewellery with semi-precious stones. Next would be a short stop at the Bindabasini Temple and then you will go through the gorge at the Seti River. You would call it a day here as you will head back towards the hotel for your dinner and a cozy night sleep.
Day 4 : POKHARA CONTINUES
In the morning, you can expect and early morning calls to view the mesmerizing sunrise through the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri range. It is a sight to behold, so, we would advice you not to miss it for anything and then, as soon as you are over with your breakfast, you will straightaway head towards the adventure joint of Nepal, Sarangkot. If you are a kind of person with high adrenaline levels and want to challenge your fears and live your life at the very edge, well, then, Sarangkot is the place for you. They have some really cool facilities for paragliding at Sarangkot and then, you can also engage few minutes in white water rafting too. For the trekkers too, Sarangkot will never disappoint you. You shall have some really challenging time doing the rock climbing and zip-lining. After a short trek and camping, you will head downhill during the evening, but not before you witness the sunset, which is as beautiful as the sunrise. After a hectic yet fun filled day, you will head towards the hotel for your dinner.
Day 5 : THE BALTHALI EXCURSION
Next morning, you can expect your breakfast to be an early one as you will head back towards Kathmandu and on your way back you shall be visiting the twin Khokana and Bungamati. They are Nepal’s biggest bet on being declared as the UNESCO Heritage sites. These cities straightaway take you to the Nepal of 17th century. They have some sprawling paddy fields and mustard oil production sites. Though, the temple of Rudrayini steals the show. Next on the cards would be a visit to the Balathali village, which is famous for being the highest point of city of Kathmandu. The journey to the top makes you fall in love with the place. Moreover, the feeling of conquering the hill and the sight of Kathmandu below you is simply breath-taking. The excursion doesn’t end there. Because a halt at the village of Dhulikhel is there on your itinerary. It gives you the chance of a tete-a-tete with the real Nepal and also observes the simple living tradition of the local folk here. Their modest lifestyle makes you believe in the presence of nirvana in the place. While on your way back, your guide shall escort you to Namo Buddha, which is the home of the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery and is one the most sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. The reason that this place carries so much significance is that it is believed that Buddha, in his previous life offered his body to eat to a hungry tigress and her cubs. You would call it a day at the Namo Buddha and will head for the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 6 : THE PATAN AND BHAKTAPUR VOYAGE
As soon as you are over with your breakfast, you shall proceed towards the Southern Kathmandu. Because it houses the oldest and one of the most ancient Buddhist city in the world, Patan. The place has tranquillity in its air and the peace acts as a panacea to the soul. It is one of the most favoured sites for meditation and yoga. You shall be visiting the Golden Temple and will also get a chance to look for the traditional handicrafts and the handmade jewellery made by the locals. Next halt for you would be at Bakhtapur, which is again one of the oldest cities of Nepal. The ancient streets of Bakhtapur have a very hypnotic effect and you may lose yourself while walking down them. Bakhtapur has different sects and their places, such as the potters to one side of the city, the carvers or the weavers to the other end. The Dattaraya Square is the famous of all which has centuries old recycle paper mill. You will also get a chance to see the most precious window of Nepal which is said to be carved by the most famous architect of Nepal, Araniko in 1400 A.D. No wonder, the city has been protected by UNESCO. The trip to Bakhtapur will mark the culmination of your 6 day tour of Nepal. Our delegates will escort you safely to the airport from where you shall head for your onward destination and would be bidding farewell to the heaven on Earth, which is called Nepal.
