Welcome to your "Scenic Himachal" tour! On arrival at the Delhi airport or Delhi railway station (on your own), you will be drive to Shimla the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Morning after Breakfast at hotel depart for a half-day excursion to Kufri , famous for its trekking and hiking trails. You can also visit Indira Tourist Park from where you get a panoramic view of the locations around. Enjoy a pony or a yak ride. (on direct payment basis) around the park. You will return to Shimla and visit Kalbadevi Temple, Jakhu Temple, Hanuman Temple or stop for a while at the beautiful stained – glass - windows of Christ Church, which was built in the 1850 ‘s. the rest of the day is free to relax or explore the local markets as you stroll on Mall road. Overnight at Hotel.
Kufri: A tiny hill station in Shimla got name from the work "Kufri" meaning a lake in the local language. The highest point in the surrounding region Kufri has a Himalayan Wild Life Zoo which hosts rare Antelopes, Felines and Birds including Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. During winter a meandering path through the potato plantations turns into a popular Ski track. Kufri is the only tourist place where you can roam around in a nature park on a Yak! Sipping hot chocolate during cold evenings, sitting in the midst of snow can bring out the love in you.
Shimla Town The Ridge: Located in the heart of Shimla, The Ridge road is a large open space which runs east to west alongside the Mall Road, and joins it at the Scandal point on the west side. On the east side, the Ridge road leads to Lakkar Bazaar, a wooden crafts market. The large water reservoir present at the Ridge acts as the main supply of Shimla town. Dotted with a church, library and many statues, the Ridge is a choice of many for a long walk.
The Mall: The Mall in Shimla is referred to as the 'heart of Shimla' is the Biggest Mall road of North India. The Mall extends from Barnes court in the eastern side to Vice Regal lodge in the western side. Movement of vehicles are prohibited in the Mall of Shimla. There are many attractions on the mall road like Gaity Theater, Kali Bari Temple, Christ Church, Scandal Point, General Post Office.
Today enjoy your drive past the banks of the river Beas to Manali. On arrival into Manali, check into your hotel. The evening is at leisure.
Manali : Once called the "end of the habitable world," Manali is an important Shimla Hills station of northern India and is the destination of thousands of tourists every year. Its cool atmosphere provides a perfect haven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. Besides offering quite a few places for sightseeing, Manali is also famous for adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. In brief, Manali-the veritable "valley of the Gods"-is an ideal place for the ones in search of both adventure and comfort.
During your city tour today, visit the Hadimba Temple and the Tibetan Monastery which houses several images of Lord Buddha and Tankha paintings. Vashisth Hot water springs, Vashisth Temple, Club house. The evening is free to relax or stroll and shop at the Mall road.
Hidimba Devi Temple: An ancient cave temple entirely dedicated to Hidimba Devi, is circumscribed by cedar forest. The deity image in this temple is that of a huge rock which was built in 1553.
Manali Gompa (Tibetan Monastery): The Manali Gompa serves as an important gathering place for Buddists from Lahaul, Spiti, Kinnaur, Ladakh, Nepal, Tibbet. Built in the 1960s, the new monastery is famous for its wall paintings, chortens and a large statue of Lord Buddha.
Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple: Just about 3 kms from Manali, spread across the Beas River is Vashist, a village with natural sulphur springs. Comprising of modern bathhouses, Turkish-style showers – travelers come here for medicinal benefit. There is also a pair of old stone temples, dedicated to the local patron saint Vashista.
Club House: The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day. You can enjoy various indoor and outdoor sports in the club by taking due permission at the reception along with a nominal fee.
This morning proceed on a day excursion to the Rohtang Pass. Carry warm cloths like hand gloves, muffler, sweater, shawl, & sports shoes etc. Rohtang pass is situated at an altitude of 4,111 meters (13,400 ft.).
Rohtang Pass (Ruh-Tang): Rohtang pass got his name for unpredictable weather conditions, and snow storms. Rohtang Pass is the 'Highest Jeepable Road in the World' and offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. There are many beautiful sight of glaciers, peaks and Chandra river flows down in the Lahaul valley. Slightly to the left are the twin peaks of the Geypan
Solang Valley: Popularly known as the Snow Point, Solang Valley is just 13 km northwest of Manali. The 300-meter ski lift is a famous attraction here. Glaciers, snow-capped mountains – the view is picturesque in a manner that you will be awestruck.
Today your picturesque journey continues to Dharamshala. It is the principal township of Kangra district thich overlooks the wide spread of the plains with pine and deodar forests. On arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon you will visit Baijnath - the oldest existing Shiva temple in the country, War Memorial, Kanga Art Museum, Dally Lake, Mclodeganj, St. Johns Church etc. The evening is at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.
Dharamshala : Stands at the foot of Dhauladhar and has a magnificent view of snowy peaks, deodar and pine forests, tea gardens and beautiful hills. The snow line is perhaps more easily accessible at Dharamshala than any other hill station in India. Dharamshala now really has become international, with a number of Tibetan settlements and the residence of Noble Laureate the ‘Dalai Lama'. Dharamshala is divided into two distinct parts : lower Dharamshala the civil and business area with Courts and Kotwali bazaar and upper Dharamshala composed of places like McLeod Ganj and Forsyth Ganj.

Immerse yourself in the little Lhasa of India- the land of spiritualism! Dharamshala, the abode of Dalai Lama is simply out of the world! Nature has painted the holy town with breathtaking scenic views.
Today drive to Dalhousie. A little hill station that still retains its old British charm. Its marvelous forest trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. On arrival in Dalhousie, check into your hotel. In the afternoon visit the Martyr's memorial at Panchpulla; enroute visit Satdhara, said to contain mica and medicinal properties.
Dalhousie : - Dalhousie is a quiet town, with a sense of enchantment. This hill station spreads over five low-level hills at the western edge of the Dhauladhar range, just east of the Ravi River. The picturesque town is interspersed with the colonial-era buildings, low roofed stalls and hotels. The pine-covered slopes around it are intersected with paths and treks, which are ideal for short undemanding walks. The gateway to the Chamba Valley, this colonial town was established in 1854 by Dalhousie. The British governor-general Lord Dalhousie. Covering an area of 14 sq.-km and surrounded by alpine vegetation, Dalhousie has charming architecture and panoramic views of both plains and the white capped views of the mountainous ranges.
Drive to Khajjiar, a scenic spot set amidst a backdrop of dense pines, deodars and lush green meadow. Khajjiar is exquisitely nestled down in the foothills of the imposing Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas providing a panoramic and breathtaking view to the visitors. Khajjiar “Mini Switzerland”: Saucer-shaped plateau surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, and is one of the 160 places throughout the world to have been designated Mini Switzerland. This emerald opening amidst the woods has a small pond at its center. There are two floating islands in the middle of the pond; they are sometimes hidden from view by the tall grass that grows on them.
Today you will proceed to Panchkula / Chandigrh. On arrival check in to your hotel. The afternoon is free to explore this well planned city on your own. Proceed to sightseeing tour of Chandigarh including Rock Garden, constructed almost entirely out of city garbage; Rose Garden 30 landscaped acres containing a variety of 1600 roses; Museum & Art Gallery housing a good collection of sculptures and paintings. Overnight at Chandigarh.
Today bid farewell to your "Himachal Splendour" tour. Breakfast at hotel & proceed to Delhi lunch on the way to Delhi. Proceed to Delhi/Chandigarh Airport / Railway station for your onward journey & tour ends with sweet memories.
