Day 1 : Arrive Guwahati
Meet and greet upon your arrival by The Cat Holidays representative. Transfer to your hotel, check in and freshen up for local sightseeing of Guwahati, the Capital city of Assam and Gateway of Northeast, it is the Central business region of Northeast. Pay your obeisance at the numerous Temples - Maa Kamakhya. Sukreshwar. Umananda. Navagraha, Bashistha Ashram. Tirupathi Balaji and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo & Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), and Science Museum beside the temples.
Kamakhya Temple: Over the centuries, Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, it is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Rising to a modest height of 562 feet above the mighty river Brahmaputra, the hill on which the temple stands commands a magnificent view of the entire city. Several smaller shrines and temples dedicated to Kala Bhairava, Shiva and other Hindu deities are also located in its vicinity.
Optional: Boat Cruise at Brahmaputra River in the evening. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 2 : Arrive Guwahati - Shillong
Meet and greet upon arrival by The Cat Holidays representative and then transfer to Shillong (110 Kms). The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. En-route visit UMIUM LAKE BARAPANI PARK. After lunch go for sightseeing.
The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating, Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids, Butterfly Museum is a storehouse of finest and rarest species of butterflies and moths, Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. The Mini Zoo adjacent to the park has about 73 birds, 140 reptiles & mammals, Golf Course - One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena, State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya, Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks, Shillong Peak displays a mesmerizing view of the scenic country side. Archery Stakes: A unique spot of Shillong is Archery Stakes. Archery stakes - a gambling sport which is held every day (except Sundays) at 4.00 PM. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 3 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong
After Breakfast, excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2 hrs). Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan.

Eco Park
The Eco Park has been created in the plateaus by the Meghalaya government. At this Eco Park, tourists can see beautiful orchids growing in abundance in green house, which are given by Shillong Agri-Horticultural Society.
Nohsngithiang Falls
Nohsngithiang Falls, the fourth highest waterfall in India, is located at a distance of few kilometers from Cherrapunjee; the height of this waterfall is 1,035 ft.
Nohkalikai Waterfalls
Nohkalikai Waterfalls, located at a distance of 5 km from Cherrapunjee, is the fourth highest waterfall in the world. Falling from a height of 1,100 ft., the legend associated with these falls is as popular as the attraction itself.
Mawkdok Dympep Valley View
The Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, located at the very start of Sohra tourist circuit, is one of the most prominent attractions of the place. The forest department has made a view-point at this valley from where tourists can enjoy and appreciate the natural beauty of the valley.
Dainthlen Waterfalls
Dainthlen waterfall, located at a distance of 5 km from Cherrapunjee, is one of the most popular waterfalls. This waterfall has a legend attached to it, according to which it is said that people killed a huge snake living in the cave here to get rid of his terror.
You can visit Thangkharang Park if you have one more day in hand and make your overnight stay in Cherrapunje (Optional).
Later come back to Shillong Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 4 : Shillong - Dawki - Mawlynnong - Shillong
After Breakfast, excursion to Dawki, en-route visit Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong, on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of these areas. Later return back to Shillong Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 5 : Shillong - Nartiang - Smit - Shillong
After Breakfast, excursion to Nartiang, Monolith of Jaintia Kingdom. Monoliths exist throughout the length and breadth of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. However, the biggest collection of monoliths or Megalithic stones in one single area is to be found north of the Nartiang market. These consists of Menhirs (Upright stones) Moo Shynrang and Dolmens (flat stones in the horizontal position) locally known as Moo Kynthai. Within the perimeter of this Megalithic collection stands the tallest Menhir erected by U Mar Phalyngki a trusted lieutenant of the Jaintia King to commemorate his victory in battle. Other monoliths were erected by U Mar Phalyngki, U Luh Lyngskor Lamare and various clans of Nartiang village between 1500A.D.and l835A.D.
The Durga Temple at Nartiang stands today as verification of the Hindu heritage of the Jaintia Kingdom, which dates back to about 1446 A.D. Although the original structure has been modified, the temple holds the same altar, idols and swords which were used to offer sacrifices to the goddess Durga centuries back. During the rule of the Jaintia kings, human sacrifices were made but with the advent of the British it was banned. Till date, a cast of the first British victim’s face hangs on a pillar inside the temple, the contours of his face marked with blood. The hole in the ground through which the heads of the sacrifices were relinquished and rolled out into the river Myntdu through a tunnel is still present within the same temple.
Later come back to Shillong, Overnight at Shillong.
Day 6 : Shillong - Kaziranga National Park (325 Kms)
After Breakfast, Check out hotel to go to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros". Check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request.
Day 7 : Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant i.e. ELEPHANT SAFARI (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). Get up early morning at 5.30AM and start for both central range ‘Kohora’ and western range ‘Bagori’. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. At 6:30 AM return to the hotel / resort for Breakfast. After Breakfast take little rest in the resort & hotel.
Afternoon around 01.45 PM you have JEEP SAFARI in Central range. Kaziranga National Park, has become synonymous with successful conservations of Great One Horn Rhinoceros (from the Greek word, "rhino" means nose and "ceros" means horn) / Unicornis (from the Latin word, "uni" means one and "cornis" also means horn) and also a home of many other threatened species including Indian Elephant (Elephant Maximus), Tiger (Panthera tigris), Hoolock Gibbon (Bunipithecus hoolock), Ganges dolphin (Platanista gangetica), Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Barasingha or Swamp Deer (duvauceli), Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) and Gaur (Bos frontalis) etc.
There are also over 500 species of birds have been recorder in the park including 25 species of globally threatened category. Over and above there are 21 rare and endangered species. In winter one can observe a large breeding population of Spot Bill Pelicans about one thousand breeding nests are found in a place which has been named as Pelican Colony in the Eastern Range.
Among the reptiles species like Water Monitor Lizard (Varanus salvator), Indian python (Python molurus), Cobra (Naja naja) and the King Cobra are found. Return back to resort / hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request in the evening.
Note: The Park is open during the winter months of the dry season from the beginning of November to the end of April.
Day 8 : Kaziranga National Park
After Breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.

1.) Check-in 08:00 hrs. / Check-out time is 08:00 hrs.
2.) On arrival of guest at Airport our executive will be there with the PLA - CARD at Exit Gate on the Airport. Railway Station.
3.) The tourism infrastructure in North East is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of other cities & other developed destinations.
4.) We request guests to contact our executive in case of any complaint/suggestions instead of asking driver to follow according to their wish.
5.) On arrival of guests or at the time of issuing travel voucher, we will provide them local contact numbers of our Executive, who will handle the entire Operation.
6.) Keeping this in mind please ensure that you do not leave your belongings in the vehicle as there is very little possibility of getting them back.
7.) If for any reason any tourist spot is closed we shall not cover it on next day and if guest wants to do the same on next day then additional cost to be paid by the guests.
8.) If guests want any changes in their sightseeing schedule they should be inform to our executive previous day of the schedule program before 16:00 hrs after that no changes are allowed. If the guest inform after 16:00 hrs. It will be consider as a cancellation with no refund or guest will pay extra cost for the re-schedule the sightseeing.
9.) Guest pleased is informed to maintain the timing for the sightseeing / transfers which will advisable by our Executive.

You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis only on receipt of 50% advance payments. The balance full and final payment must reach us before 20 days of the start of tour. In case of failure to make 100% payment before 20 days, the advance will be forfeited and the package deemed to be cancelled.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You, or any member of your party, may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our offices. 1)We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel Arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any Circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.
2)If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (for instance, bad weather, political disorder) etc.
3)We shall first try to offer you alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn’t already commenced.
4) If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged from you on a pro-rata basis depending on portion of the tour standing utilized by you.
5)In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited refunding to you the price we charged as the tour fees.
