Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : ARRIVE AT GUWAHATI

  Meet and greet on arrival at Guwahati Airport and and transfer to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
• Day 2 : GUWAHATI – SHILLONG ( Shillong Local sightseeing)

  Early morning breakfast drive to Shillong. En route witness the Umiam Lake if the permit visit Cathedral of Marry. Upon arrival in Shillong get transferred to your Hotel and relax. Later in evening Shillong local sightseeing – The places of interest includes The city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating – The Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids – Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with streaches of roses & exquisite flowers – One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees – Spend the evening in the splendid arena – The State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya – Shillong and its surrounding is dotted with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they break the silence of the surroundings – Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks – For the Bird’s eye view of Shillong, one can take a stand at Shillong Peak – Shillong Mount view point. Later back to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Shillong

• Day 3 : SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI – SHILLONG

  After breakfast in the morning start for excursion to Cherrapunji, the wettest place in the world. There are lots of spectacular view points on the way to Cherrapunji. Shillong Peak: The Shillong peak stands at a whopping 2000mtr above sea level. The peak dedicated to the city is also the highest point in the state. Elephant falls: The Elephant Falls located just outside the Shillong city at a distance of approx 10 kms provides a unique sight wherein the water column carves out its way and surrenders to gravity at two successive locations. The Cherrapunji is a land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys.
  Some of the Main Attractions are the Ramakrishna Mission Museum, First Presbyterian Church, Mawsmai Fall, Nohkalikai Falls, and Eco Park etc. Mawsmai caves near Cherrapunji is an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. But if you want to thrill yourself more, climb up to the caves hitch are not lit up, they are guaranteed to spook you as one has to crawl their way in. Overnight stay at hotel in Shillong.

• Day 4 : SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI (night stay)

  After breakfast visit the cleanest village in India. It is situated 90 Km. From Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. Later proceed to Dawki. Dawki is the border area of India and Bangladesh. Dawki – Tamabil, the road border crossing between India and Bangladesh generally remains open between 6am and 5pm. The border is used mainly for coal transportation from Meghalaya to Bangladesh. More than 500 trucks cross the border every day during peak season. Dawki Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River. It was constructed in 1932 by the Britishers. Overnight stay at hotel/Tent in Dawki.
• Day 5 : DAWKI – SHILLONG

  Evening After breakfast proceed to Shillong check in at hotel & relax. Later evening free to stroll around the local discotheque / Police Bazaar – Overnight in Shillong
• Day 6 : SHILLONG – GUWAHATI

  After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Evening free for Leisure. Overnight Stay at hotel in Kaziranga.
• Day 7 : DEPARTURE

  After Breakfast, Checkout from hotel . You will be dropped at Guwahati Airport. Tour ends with fond memories.
