Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati

  Welcome at LGBI airport in Guwahati, Shillong is135 kms away from the Guwahati airport. Drive to Shillong. Evening free for personal activities. Overnight in Shillong.
• Day 2 : Shillong

  After early breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee (56 km from Shillong), the wettest place on earth. Enjoy a pleasant drive to see the roaring water falls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang falls. The lovely town is also famous for its limestone caves and orange honey. Watch the Dain-Thlen Falls, Noh-Kalikai Falls, Noh-Sngithiang Falls and also drive to the Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park and the Living root Bridge. Return to Shillong. En route visit Shillong Peak. Overnight at Shillong.

• Day 3 : Shillong

  After breakfast do fullday sightseeing in Shillong, covering Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum, Lady Hydari Park, Meghalaya State Museum – (Close in Sunday), Meghalaya State Museum – (Close in Sunday), Shillong Golf Course etc. Evening free for personal activities. Overnight in Shillong.
• Day 4 : Shillong

  Kaziranga -After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park (300kms/7hrs). Evening free for personal activities. Overnight in Kaziranga
• Day 5 : Kaziranga

  Early morning Elephant ride to the national park (Timings: 1st ride: 5.30 – 6.30 a.m. & 2nd ride: 6.30 – 7.30 a.m.) Return for breakfast. Afternoon Jeep safari to the central range of the park. Overnight in Kaziranga.

• Day 6 : Kaziranga - Bomdila

  After breakfast drive to Bomdila (210 Kms / 6½ hrs). Check in Hotel. Afternoon visit to District Museum, Kalachakra Monastery etc. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Kaziranga.
• Day 7 : Bomdila - Tawang (185 Kms / 6½ Hrs)

  Morning drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. ( Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.
• Day 8 : Tawang

  The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang
• Day 9 : Tawang - Dirang (150 Kms / 6½ Hrs)

  Morning drive back to Dirang. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Dirang.
• Day 10 : Dirang - Bhalukpong (180 Kms / 7 Hrs)

  After breakfast drive to Bhalukpong. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre. Check in Hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bhalukpong.
• Day 11 : Bhalukpong - Guwahati (250 Kms / 7 Hrs)

  After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check in Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Guwahati.
• Day 12 : Drive to Guwahati

  Guwahati - Drive to Guwahati airport/Railway station as per the schedule time. TOUR ENDS
