Day 1 : Arrive at Delhi
Arrive today in Delhi, a land of rich heritage that's ancient. The mystique of India, its history of 5000 years, philosophy, religions, fabulous history monuments all add to its bewildering diversity to create a unique and colorful mosaic. You are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted by company representatives to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and adjust to the time zone. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 2 : Delhi
Morning after breakfast embark on a tour of New Delhi, begins with the drive past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753 AD) on the way to Qutab Minar (1193 AD) this striking medieval tower of victory of Persian World is 73 m high. Within the Qutab complex, amidst the ruins of Quwat-ul-Islam mosque, stands the Iron pillar which has stood the vagaries of weather and has not rusted over 1500 years. Then drive through New Delhi includes the Embassy area (Diplomatic enclave), Government buildings, India Gate, Birla Temple and Connaught Place, New Delhi's main shopping area. Visit Humayun's Tomb - considered to be the fore runner of Taj Mahal.
Afternoon tour the Old Delhi. Among your stops are the Jama Mosque built in 1650 AD, followed by a drive past the breathtaking Red Fort (1639-1648), and built by Shah Jahan, creator of the Taj Mahal. Then we proceed on to Raj Ghat, which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi Overnight at Delhi.
Day 3 : Jaipur
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone, painted so in honor of the visit of the royal consort of Queen Victoria. Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces, exquisite temples and lush gardens.). On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 4 : Jaipur
Breakfast at hotel. You are transported back in time today, riding like royalty atop elegantly draped and painted Elephants, up into the high mountain fortress of Amber. the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace.
Later, enjoy a tour of Jaipur City, visiting Hawal Mahal or “Palace of Winds” , City Palace and ancient Observatory. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 5 : Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Agra with enroute visit of abandoned and nearly - intact Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, a master piece of Muslim architecture. Upon arrival at Agra check-in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Agra. Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (1653 AD). For majority of tourists visit to India is incomplete without seeing the wonderful Taj Mahal. Moghul emperor Shahjehan in the memory of his beloved wife marbled monument. Semi precious stones are intricately inlaid into the marbles in various patterns showing an impressive craftsmanship. Other important monument is Agra fort with its Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque), Dewan-e-Aam, Dewan-e-Khas, octagonal tower Jehangir Palace - famous for its Hindu Persian architectural style. Overnight at Agra.
Day 6 : Gwalior
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Gwalior which traces its history back to a legend. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Gwalior was always an important city because of its strategic location on the Agra-Deccan main route. Hence many dynasties tried to claim this land including the mighty Mughals and Marathas. Before them, the city was the stronghold of the Huns from Central Asia, the Kachhwaha Rajputs, the Pratihars, the Slave Dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, and the Tomars-of whom the most important king was Raja Man Singh (1486-1517). The Marathas under Madhao Rao Scindia, the last dynasty to rule the city before Independence, restored Gwalior to its former glory. Overnight at Gwalior.
Day 7 : Gwalior
Full day city tour visit the huge Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir Palace,Sas- Bahu temples, Tansen’s Tomb,Scindia Museum ,Jai Vilas Palace,Tomb of Mohammad Ghaus. Overnight at Gwalior.
Day 8 : Datia-Orchha
After breakfast proceed to Orchha with enroute stopover at Datia, visit Vir Singheo Palace and number of Hindu temples situated on hilltop. Arrive Orchha and check-in at the hotel.
Orchha In the 16th and 17th centuries the Hindu Bundela rulers, who were allies of the Moghuls, built up Orchha as a provincial capital on he banks of the winding Betwa River. On the bank of the Betwa River next to Kanchana Ghat, a short walk upstream from the town proper, are 14 sandstone Cenotaphs built in honor of the former rulers.Upon arrival check-in at the hotel The Orchha Resort.
Afternoon you can also visit Chaturbhuj Temple, Ram Raja Temple, Dinman Hardaul’s Palace. Overnight at Orchha.
Day 9 : Khajuraho
Breakfast at hotel. Afternoon drive to Khajuraho. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Khajuraho was once a religious and political capital of the Chandela dynasty who ruled Central India between 9th and 13th century. Its major tourist attractions are the temples depicting erotic sculptures and figurines. The temples are divided into Eastern and Western temples and boasts of Chandela art. Overnight at Khajuraho.
Day 10 : Khajuraho
Morning after breakfast visit the Eastern & Western Group of temples. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Khajuraho.
Day 11 : Varanasi
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Varanasi. Varanasi -This sacred city over two thousand years old is the holiest city of the Hindus and a great center of learning and civilization. It has now more than 200 temples and shrines. Visit Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple, Banaras Hindu University etc. Drive past the bazaars, brocades & famous Banarasi silk sari shops. Overnight at Varanasi.
Day 12 : Varanasi
Early morning sunrise boat cruise over holy river Ganges will take you to is famous bathing ghats where hundreds of pilgrims can be seen cleansing their souls by taking a holy dip. Also visit its burning ghats where bodies are cremated after performing the last rites according to ancient Hindu customs. Overnight at Varanasi.
Day 13 : Delhi
