Lachung is a town in northeast Sikkim, India. It is located in the North Sikkim district and is near the border with Tibet. Lachung is at an elevation of about 9,600 ft or 3,000 m and at the confluence of the Lachen River and Lachung Rivers, tributaries of the River Teesta. The word Lachung means "small pass". The town is approximately 125 km from the capital Gangtok.

Stay at Lachung:
Morning at around 10:00 a.m. – transfer to Lachung 6 hours. En-route visit Seven Sisters Water Falls, Singhik view point from where one can get one of the most spectacular and close views of Mt. Khancendzonga and its ranges.

On the way lunch, Tea break at Chugthang-sub-divisional town of North Sikkim 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Arrival and overnight stay at Lachung.Air/Rail fare

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pick up at Gangtok to Lachung North Sikkim

  Morning at around 10:00 a.m. – transfers to Lachung -6 hours.
  En-route to lachung, visit Seven Sisters Water Falls, Singhik view point from where one can get one of the most spectacular and close views of Mt. Khancendzonga and its ranges.
  Lunch on the way, Tea break at Chugthang-sub-divisional town of North Sikkim 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
  Arrival and overnight stay at Lachung

• Day 2 : Lachung-Yumthang valley –Gangtok Back

  Morning after breakfast excursion trip to yumthang valley 24 km. from Lachung at 11800 ft.
  Its known as valley of flowers- with marvelous blend of flora & fauna and hot springs and after Lunch transfers to Gangtok 6 hours drive and overnight stay evening free for indicial activities.
